Agreed Allan. In all honesty though we can't expect the Scottish Government/Parliament to tell others to clean up their act when they won't clean up their own act.
-
A real shame. He was very highly rated a year or two back but suffered a bad injury. I believe Liverpool were looking at him. Presumably, his loan with Annan didn't work out.
-
Yes. No point in signing someone just to add numbers. However our central defence, McGinn excepted, haven't been great this season and have cost us a fair few goals. I'd look for an upgrade.
-
I'd ideally like one or two more than those you list......if we have the financial means. A LWB and maybe a central defender too. Hopefully the foward would be a wide forward/winger. As I say, it's a wish list and maybe pie in the sky. We are very thin on the ground though. SK mentioned bringing in a couple over and above anyone leaving and 3 have so far.

A good bit of business for us. I don't know if Wilkinson upset SK with his recent comments or whether he wasn't the kind of player we thought he was. Maybe a bit of both. A half decent penalty box striker who didn't fit our style. What type of player did we think we were getting? A bit more cash for this month's war chest.

I'm not overly bothered about Huddersfield recalling Spencer. The downside is, of course, that we already have a very thin squad, especially at full back. SOD's best days are definitely behind him and I now rate him as back up. I thought Spencer was ok but no more than that. Its shaping up to be a busy January window.

Very true. In fairness we were down to the bare bones but I think that we could have tailored the system better to suit the players we had available. Overall a good point, which I would have taken before kick off, but disappointing to lose a late goal. We have a very suspect defence as we saw once again today. As Spiderpig wrote recently, it doesn't help though when the midfield is incapable of competing and protecting it. On the plus side, we are scoring with Bair coming on to a game. He's proving me wrong.

I'm not Callum Slattery's biggest fan. He's talented but his form has tailed off. But, I thinks it's unfair to judge him too harshly when he's being played out of position.
-
Surely not?
-
A 4-4-2 today then? A very young looking bench. McGinley on bench too. No sign of Conor Wilkinson.
-
Thats down to Hibs, as they don't like healthy away supports.
-
Beat me to it.
-
The former I think. He never got much game time and his loan deal expired. I can't see him being used by us. Another short term loan or mutualled?
-
Pape Souare has left us on the expiry of his short iterm deal. No surprise.
-
Nathan McGinley returning to Fir Park as his loan in Maryhill has ended.
-
Thats it for me. I have serious doubts about SK but he steered the team to a home win yesterday against the poorest team in the league. We made it harder than it needed to be. That said, you can only beat the team in front of you. The real test for him is maintaining a good run of form now and doing some decent transfer business this month.
-
What is the situation with our loanees? Presumably, if nothing changes, then Barry Maguire, Nathan McGinley and Ricky Lamie will return to Fir Park next week? On top of that Pape Souare's deal ends, whch i wouldn't expect to be extended.

On the back of yesterday's result I reckon SK's position is safe for now. However, its on the basis of what we do from now on that he'll be judged. He'll be given this window of course and thats huge for us and him. I think yesterday was mixed bag. Yes, he deserved credit for getting the win and you could say his plan worked a treat, which to some extent it did. However, it wasn't entirely successful. The defence was shaky again, and although McGinn did add some stability we lacked height and muscle in there, especially against the likes of Livingston. The midfield was all wrong especially in the second half when we elected to sit in deep and let Livingston come at us. With that defence??? Its all very well fielding 3 strikers but they have to play as 3 strikers. I hardly noticed any contribution from Shaw. Not quite sure what to make of SK yesterday. He got us the much needed win but his line up and tactics made it harder than it need to be and a better team would have punished us. We'll see how we fare aginst Hibs.

A bit negative maybe but a good bit of truth in what you say. An odd looking line up, but at the end of the day we won and that was the important thing. It affords us some breathing space. I thought we started off well and could have scored a few. Once Livi scored against the run of play though, we looked a bit shaken, but fortunately recovered to restore our 2 goal lead. The second half was absolutely dire. I get that we should have adopted a slightly more cautious approach and let Livi come out a bit more but we sat back a bit too much and made it easy for them, albeit they looked poor and didn't trouble Kelly, although they troubled the woodwork. A better team would have punished us. A good team effort and I thought Bair was excellent - his second goal was an absolute peach and would not have been out of place in the English Premier League. McGinn added some stability to our rearguard. I'm not sure what Shaw added to the team though and I hardly noticed him. Livi’s regulation goal was very soft and similar to one we conceded to Dundee a few weeks ago. On the negative side, we lost almost every aerial battle and the midfield struggled to compete, which wasn't a surprise, given the set up. I thought that the referee was very weak and inconsistent especially with yellow cards. He was well worked by Livingston who adopted their trademark physical and streetwise approach – that’s all they have in their locker. Bair was unlucky not to score a hat trick and we’ve seen similar efforts given in the recent past, where the “offending player” wasn’t interfering with play.

A few rumours doing the rounds that Wikinson and perhaps even Shaw could be leaving shortly. According to SK we are looking to bring in 2 new faces and perhaps slighlty more if someone leaves. I'd like to see the midfield and defence bolstered but it all depends on who is available of course.
-
I agree Smiddy. A draw simply isn't good enough. The Board is working hard to improve its image to future managers and its succeeding. However the revolving door of recent managerial changes reflects badly on their selection procedures. If SK goes it isn't giving any new manager much time in the transfer window unless a replacement has already been identified, which I very much doubt.
-
We'll forgive him seeing its against Partick Thistle.
-
I think an inconclusive draw is the most likely outcome on Saturday. We have trouble keeping clean sheets and Livi have trouble scoring. Any kind of win will do though.
-
That's shocking. SPFL should reimburse costs but will they hell!
-
Good result for us. Saints don't pull away and Livi only gain a single point.
