  1. He was brought up a Thistle fan.
  2. If you have any left I'd be interested in one.
  3. I would have thought that a club who don't have what it takes to get results would be fighting against relegation rather than challenging for Europe, no?
  4. Yeah, and yet we're still up there fighting for 2nd or 3rd place regardless, aren't we? This kind of result happens every now & then, both for and against us.
  5. I think the upheaval of moving abroad to a new culture can be an issue, especially if you have children.
  6. As has been shown in recent times, there's more on the table when you sign for Motherwell than simply money. We're a club who seem able to give players a platform where they can steady the ship, so to speak, and get a season or two of decent football under their belt. Before, as HaggisChomper says, we can let them leave for hee haw
  7. Fucking hell, so he did. I was sure it was Lennon who got it last year for some reason?
  8. I find it somewhat ridiculous that McCall has never won the award during his time with us considering what he's achieved.
  9. Has anyone here seen Danny Wilson regularly enough to form something of an opinion on him? I see he's making noises about possibly leaving Hearts at the end of the season. He's only 22, and from what I've seen of him he's not too bad. Worth a look if Hutch and maybe McManus leave?
  10. I know we've been down this road before, but I honestly think that McCall has to be a serious candidate for the award this year, especially if we overtake Aberdeen and finish 2nd. I have no doubt the media will be in overdrive to see McInnes win it, but surely with the resources that we have McCall has to be in with a shout, especially with Lennon blowing the cups and getting his arse handed to him in the Champions League?
  11. The general consensus seems to be that it'll be a high scoring game. I'll go for a narrow 2-1 win for the good guys. Sutton & Faddy on the scoresheet.
  12. Anyone who's actually been to Southern Ireland would tell you that the politics they raise aren't even relevant to that region either these days. Most parties have moved on to a democratic solution, apart from the west of Scotland it seems.
  13. I think that sums it up really. The Green Brigade like to think of themselves as some sort of St Pauli spin-off with the class and windswept interest of the Catalans, but they're actually just arseholes using politics as an excuse to cause grief.
  14. If my memory serves me correctly I think UEFA had approved Nelson Mandela banners at stadiums after his death, hadn't they? That was an example of them encouraging political interaction in my opinion. Besides, the hypocrisy of the likes of UEFA is well known. And my point in bringing up Barcelona is that many clubs are founded on political beliefs and ideals. To simply try and dismiss it is ridiculous in my opinion. You may not like it, but it's there, and it won't go away, no matter how many men in grey suits who claim free lunches try to make it so.
  15. Unless it's someone like Nelson Mandela, of course. There are many clubs the world over who do this. Barcelona are infamous for it.
  16. Fuck that, we're relegation candidates for sure. Get McCall to fuck. Where do we go from here?
  17. 1-0, good start despite Gollum doing his best to break up the game by the sounds of it.
  18. McCall was speaking at the St Mirren pre-match presser and he said that both guys agents have indicated that they're happy to extend their stay, but that if both or any of them left it would free up a wage to bring someone else in. What do you think? With the loan spells of Ainsworth being up on the 7th of January, and that of Anier being up on the 14th, if you were in charge of the decisions, what would you do? Keep one? Keep both? Or let both go?
  19. How's the weather then? Any chance of a call-off?
  20. The discounts should be extended to those who pay a lump sum up front only in my opinion. An option for a continual direct debit payment with nothing up front should also be available, providing those fans with only a say in the running of the club after, say, six months of continual payment.
  21. This game has a low scoring draw written all over it. 1-1.
  22. I assume Celtic are footing the bill for all repairs and suchlike?
