  1. Best wishes and safe travels to those who are going to the game. I'm going to sit at home and watch it on the telly, where I won't get treated like a c*nt and given pelters (the wife is going out tonight as well).
  2. I know we have Rangers in the cup first, but has anyone heard how ticket sales are going for this? It'll be interesting to see how this game draws considering it's a 3pm Saturday kick off.
  3. A different era though, wasn't it? Finances are tough now, and there are more things to do these days as well.
  4. There was an issue with comments in general on Facebook yesterday. I believe it's been fixed now.
  5. Whilst the opinion given in the statement is pretty much what I'd expect the official position of the club to be, I don't quite understand why they felt the need to make it public. Strange.
  6. With the hysteria picking up a bit after us dropping two late goals at Pittodrie, and the fact that it'll likely reach breaking point if (and I personally don't think we will) we lose to Rangers this week and Celtic at the weekend, it's maybe worth keeping things in perspective. The aim at the start of the season is surely a decent cup run if possible, and a top six finish? Anything above and beyond that is a bonus, no? We're clearly well on track to succeed in that respect as things look at present.
  7. As has been mentioned, this team is Rangers only in name. They aren't even a shadow of the teams that we've faced over the years, and for that reason I have to be confident that we can get a win. It won't be an easy game, and I don't see us winning by many goals, but if we don't progress I'd consider it a disappointing result.
  8. My thoughts as well. If he's here for another two or three years and maintains the results that he has, then he's certainly up there.
  9. It may come down to what we can offer McCall as far as a wage and a budget for the future. I wouldn't be surprised if he declines any offer if it's simply the same as he's on now.
  10. Unfortunately, that's pretty much the case. It has virtually nothing to do with football, and everything to do with the ridiculous tribal mentality in this country. There's nothing that the club can do about it either. All of the free childrens season tickets and working with the local community won't make a difference if the parents of said child are drumming the whole "us and them" nonsense into them from an early age.
  11. Indeed. The treatment away fans get at these games from the stewards and suchlike is also a major factor in me definately not going to the game.
  12. I'll be hoping for a win, but I have a feeling we'll take a point from the game. I wouldn't be terribly upset about that.
  13. The fact we haven't lost anyone is kind of bittersweet. I'm not sure if losing a player in the summer is better than losing one in January, but it always feels that way. Maybe it's the fact that there always seems to be more players kicking about that are looking for clubs in the summer.
  14. MFCTV will have commentary, won't they?
  15. Are you as negative in real life? Or only on this forum?

You seem very sure that he stormed off up the tunnel "in the huff". I'd like to think that had he been throwing a hissy fit McCall wouldn't be long in straightening him out. I'd wager that any storming around that he does is more frustration and disappointment in his own performance. He's the kind of player who looks as though he busts a gut to win every game, even to the point of trying to win games on his own. He's young, and he'll learn how the game works, but I'm happy to see a Motherwell player storming up that tunnel raging at losing a game.
  17. Well, he should go and sign for a team that can offer him that kind of money then instead of hanging around Fir Park using the facilities to get into shape. I know it may not prove popular with the Faddy fanboys out there, but if he has no intention of signing with our club then he should move on and secure a big money move elsewhere. As someone said, if he uses our facilities to get into shape then fucks off to Aberdeen, Hibs or Hearts he should be declared persona non grata at Fir Park.
  18. Of course it doesn't mean you absolutely are using it for commercial purposes, but if you were going to take photos to sell the chances are you'd be using a quality DSLR.
  19. The same thing happened last season after he came on as a sub and hit the net against Aberdeen. You're right, our young players need to see that putting in a performance will get them at least a chance to show what they can do from the start. As for Aangol, from what I hear he's been pretty decent.
  20. Considering we have two home games against Inverness & St Mirren coming up we have a chance to get some points on the board. An excellent performance from what I heard today. Nice one.
  21. I hope not. We don't need anyone missing for Thursday.
  22. I thought it was Murphy?
