From what I heard yesterday it sounded like Lasley had another outstanding performance in our midfield. This is becoming a trend in most Motherwell games, with Keith looking more & more like the complete midfielder.
The question is, is he having his best season in claret & amber yet? He's been at Motherwell for around 10 years now over two spells, and has managed almost 250 appearances in that period.
An excellent player for the club, and one of footballs all-round good guys. It's just a shame that he's the wrong side of 30, because if he was in his early or mid 20's he'd surely be knocking on the door of the national side.

So Higdon reckons he was rotten last week. So fans giving him a hard time is justified. This week he realised he needed to up his game, promptly did so and bagged two goals.
No, the fans calling him a "fat c*nt" and so forth isn't justified, no matter how rotten he was.

Let's hope that after yesterdays game we see this thread slowly disappear into the depths of the forum.

Great result for the team and great result for Higdon
I hope he enjoys it while he can. Only three weeks before he's back in front of the east stand at Fir Park.

3-1. That'll do nicely.
-
1 defeat in 6 away games, and that was against Celtic. Not too fucking shabby!
-
Don't get me wrong, he'll always get criticism, and some of it will be warranted. The issue was the abuse that he got last week.
-
Two strikers are a MUST for us in the window or our season will go tits up relying on him getting goals for us.
11 starts and 6 goals isn't too shabby, is it?
-
Can we get Higdon a Scottish passport somehow?
-
3-0, big Higdon again!

mmm dont know if I want a draw or a win for Hearts
Looking at it seriously, I want Hearts to get gubbed.

Still can't believe we are beating a team that contains THE Danny Swanson. What a feat that would be.....
He's probably distracted by having the weight of the nation on his shoulders this month with regards to the international double header.
Understandable, really.
Especially if the Spanish have scouts at Tannadice keeping tabs on him. Best to make them think he's nothing more than an average player who's in the national set-up because our manager is a fucking numpty.

Quality updates, guys, but what does it say of the league, that a quarter of the way in, the team sitting SECOND has ZERO goal difference?
It says that scoring goals is over-rated
-
It may last less than 24 hours, but I got a smile out of seeing the top three league placings as it stands
-
Especially top-scorer Michael Higdon
Did anyone really suggest dropping Higdon?

cmon higgy

Having made a number of podcasts, adding a feed to itunes is about as simple an action as you can possibly do. It will take about two minutes and open the whole thing up to a much wider audience. The beauty of a podcast is that you can take it with you. Leaving it off the most commonly used source is pretty amateurish. Perhaps not many will listen but it's good to have the option available
Exactly.
Plus, iTunes automatically updates you with the latest episode. Besides, some of us don't like listening to stuff in front of our PC's. I like to listen to podcasts on the bus to college.

If we take all three points from todays game McCall will be completely vindicated in his choosing the same team as last week of course
-
if the fans had been happy clappy for malpas we'd probably be the 1st division just now.
So, is "happy clappy" the new term for actually supporting the team, yeah? There's no middle ground, no? You can't believe that Higdon hasn't been doing as well as we hoped thus far and still show him support? Any form of encouragement for the guy means you're a gullible "happy clappy" fan?
-
I'm all for freshening up the team, but it's easy to forget that there is a huge difference between coming on for the last 15 mins of a game, and starting it.
That may be so, but as a striker you would like to think that coming on to score the winning goal would see you given a chance to show what you can do from the start, especially when the partnership of Murphy & Higdon hasn't been all that great.

1-0, Lasley!
-
I wonder what McHugh has to do to get a starting slot? <_>
-
I actually heard an auld fella in the middle of the east say "listen to that racket. How the fuck did they get a drum in past security?"
-
I have to admit, I'll be surprised if McHugh doesn't get a start after his performance at the weekend when he came on.
If he doesn't get a start after pulling us out a hole like he did then he may as well look elsewhere for first team football.

I hope we don't see a trend developing where the team play better away from home, where the abuse levels aren't quite so high.
