I'd agree with that. The last 15-20 minutes or so of that game looked like it had more than it's fair share of hairy moments.

A classic Wednesday night in the pissing rain fixture coming up. If we can grab all three points here, and Hearts drop points against Celtic we could see a 5 point cushion forming over them. United dropping points against St Mirren would be a bonus as well, although I won't hold my breath on that front.

I know it's all been discussed before, and that it has no real soultion, but something really has to be done to make football more affordable to the masses again.

The majority may follow the Old Firm, but I doubt that many of them actually go to the games. I know a good few people who proclaim to be Celtic or Rangers "fans", but who wouldn't hand over £20 to see them, never mind whatever their charging these days.

Christ... If those "glory hunters" hadn't forked over their £20 and came to the game i'm fairy sure we'd be reading complaints about no one showing up. The simple fact of the matter is, Scottish football isn't value for money anymore. There are much better things to spend your £20 ticket money on at the weekend, plus you can sit in and watch world class football on Sky. Until this changes and we see reasonable ticket prices for more than the odd game here & there, we'll continue to attract the same core of fans as we always do.

I like the deal that Clyde are doing with their season tickets. Something like that could work for us.

It depends on how much he's wanting. There may be better players available who would fancy a crack at the Europa League and want the same wages as Gow.

I'd personally take the group stages and the money that brings in exchange for a finish of 8th or 9th. I don't think we will be involved in the relegation dogfight.

No, but there may be neutral fans who live in the area that may fancy heading along to the game. My point is, having them hosting the show from Fir Park isn't to the detriment of the club at all, is it? If they advertise the game and even one neutral punter is convinced to go along, then it's been beneficial to the club. It's absolutely ridiculous to say that they should be told to take a walk just because their show isn't the most captivating and supposedly "anti Motherwell". I always thought such nonsense was the premise of Celtic fans?

Seriously though, do you think that there is actually anyone who is thinking "I was going to go and see Motherwell play this weekend, but I remember that bloke from the Real Radio phone-in was saying negative things about them, so i'll give it a miss"?
