  1. Utter shite draw in my opinion. Rangers aren't all that good - but it will be tricky to beat them at home.
  2. Given the outrage last time around I can't see that happening.
  3. My mate works for bbc sport - apparently an issue with Opta stats being sent through. It was the same for Dumbarton shots on target.
  4. Not expecting anything from this game as Celtic are streets ahead of everyone else in the league. That said, if we can battle for every ball and get in there face we will get a few chances. Take them and you never know.
  5. Hoped we could take our chances and get a draw but feared we may get beaten well. Onwards though.
  6. I've never had any problems in the Haymarket bar. Down across from Haymarket station (surprisingly!)
  7. There's also the fact he wasn't able to train at all since the injury until last week, due to the protocol. So, they not only need to take it slowly as per protocol, in case he relapses. But he also has a lot to do to get up general and then match fitness as he hasn't been able to keep himself 'ticking over' in the mean time as you would maybe think you could.
  8. No need to get personal. Take the high ground.
  9. To add from the accounts just released. The structure appears to be changing to the following. So, you may see some see director chages given 2 of the well society board also sit on the otherwell fc board "The change of ownership will result in the creation of a Supervisory Board (initially the Well Society Board) to sit alongside a newly formed Executive Board (effectively the current Motherwell FC Board). The day to day running of the club remains unchanged."

I don't think it's specifically height and/or weight (overall physique) that's holding him back or has held him back at 'Well. But his lack of both is a bit of a disadvantage over other less skillful and experienced players. That's just a fact in the current game. So, he has to have even better skill than his competitors in a top level game, make better decisions on the field and not lose the ball as much. If he does all of that he will play. He is/was a similar build to Ryan Gauld when he first broke through. Gauld was just so good he didn't need to rely on his physique and therfore played and got a big move. Wether that was the best move and be improves is another argument... I still think he has a shot. But he needs to really impress when he get his sub chances and/or impress out on loan in Jan. Otherwise, I think unfortunately his time may be up in the next year or 2.
  11. Law and Ripley started for Oldham tonight. Erwin got on the last few mins.
  12. He followed a similar path to Faddy. He did start his 1st team career as a right back. But was quickly pushed forward by McGlynn (I think) to midfield then up front. I don't really reckon he is an out and out midfielder though. Good player - probably in between positions.
  13. Given recent performances for us and them it could go either way. Hearts will be harder to beat at Tynecastle but we will get a couple of chances at least. Need to take them. I'd be happy with a point and over the moon with 3.
  14. 500 submitted so far. Not bad going at all.
  15. That's exactly it - ano to be fair it says that on the web page. It's a starting point and they want subjective views to identify initial touch points. I know, for me, I filled it out right away. A longer all encompassing one I probably wouldn't have.
  16. Good we are keeping track of what he is doing then as Alan is saying then. For me that's probably the most important bit of it. I actually forgot all about him until I came across that story!
  17. Yeah that's my thoughts more or less. If we have not been keeping tabs on him at all and have had no dialogue then it's pretty off I think. One, just out of decency. But two, he could be turning in good performances and we wouldn't even know.
  18. It explains it's purpose and aim fairly clearly on the page linked to above.
  19. Not quite the right topic, but an interview with Louis Laing from a few days ago: http://www.nottinghampost.com/louis-laing-enjoying-notts-county-stay-and-relishing-new-right-back-role/story-29885344-detail/story.html Interesting few paragraphs at the end which seems to make it pretty clear the club arent exactly keeping tabs on how Laing is doing with a hope to him returning a better player. It looks unlikely Motherwell will need him back after Laing admitted they haven't been in touch with him since he arrived. "Motherwell aren't giving me any feedback," he said. "They are struggling a little bit. They are near the bottom of the league. "I don't know what's going to happen in January. I am enjoying it here so I am not looking at them too much."
  20. Unfortunately he appears to be made of chocolate though. His prior injury issues before coming to us has really hampered his pace when developing as a young player. Lack of pace at fullback in today's game leaves you a sitting duck. I agree Chalmers did well enough at the start of this season. But, if I was going to play a youngster to try and develop them into a better player it has to be McMillan for me.
  21. If we've nae much money I don't want them spending it on paint. I say this from my lofty position in the yearly money eating main stand, however. ;-) In all seriousness though...pleased it's being renamed and some cheap renovations wouldn't go a miss from what you easties (sailors?) say.
