Scottish Cup - Fourth Round Rangers V Motherwell Sat 21 Jan 12:30

Right now with more than 2 years on his deal he is potentially worth more than 500k to us. If 500k is bid it would probably, and rightly, be knocked right back -
Article about Marv playing left back at Oxford as well... http://www.witneygazette.co.uk/sport/oxfordunited/14971892.Marvin_Johnson__I_can__39_t_defend__but_I__39_m_enjoying_left_back_role_at_Oxford_United/

Whether they can or choose to afford it or not...I don't think Rangers would pay another Scottish team what we would be hoping to receive for a talent like Cadden who has 2 1/2 years to run on his contract. We are in a bit of a stronger position than St Johnstone with O'Halloran (who had 18 months left) and only really had the winter and summer 16 transfer windows to get any value. -
Yeah I thought the same. Just downloaded and voted yesterday myself too. Keen as mustard me.

Not yet - saw it on Twitter. Can download the form and email it directly if your keen though. It's open until 19th Jan so plenty of time.

Quite the drop in fortunes for Gordon Young since he left us for Sheffield. Now assistant at East Fife... https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish-league-1/329523/new-east-fife-boss-barry-smith-names-assistant/

From the presser: McDonald, McManus and Cadden all were carrying knocks/risky for the Aberdeen game according to McGhee today. So, may have been a blessing in disguise. Cadden and McMillan training today. However, Skippy and Mick sit it out. Hammell still injured. -

Without going over it again (it was done to death when they came out in the summer)...the league could have done much better and have hidden behind the crap excuse of 'the computer chose. But as we know...they get altered all the time. What annoys me more is the amount of home games we get on TV v amount of away games in TV. Especially post Christmas this time around it will further impact home and away attendance. -

A few outlets, via PA Sport, now reporting that McGhee must sit out St.J game as last night did not cont. But, also, McManus and Considine yellow's also do not count. So, sense prevails. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spfl/14966043.Motherwell_boss_Mark_McGhee_to_sit_out_St_Johnstone_clash_after_Aberdeen_abandonment/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38320706 -

Wonder when it will be re-arranged? I was thinking it wouldn't be until 2017 but I just noticed Thistle are playing this coming Sat/Tue/Fri for their next 3 games. So, we could have it slotted in next Tuesday i guess. -

In the long run might be a blessing in disguise if the likes of McDonald, Moult and Cadden were not quite 100% -

Could be many things - interesting to see what we set up like 4-3-3 4-4-2 with Moult or Skippy on as strict left mid 4-4-2 with Moult or Skippy floating about in that advanced wing role that Johnson played sometimes 4-5-1 with Skippy deep 4-4-1-1 with Skippy behind and Moult on the left 4-3-3 attack reverting to 4-5-1 defend. 4-3-1-2 with Skippy sitting being Moult & Bowman ....or other combinations depending what he thinks Bowman can/cannot do. We shall see. Whatever it is I hope it works....and if it does not is changed quickly. -

Agree - 2 pts lost. We had 3 good chances where we should have scored. Even take one of them and I think we would have seen it out as Killie didn't offer much in front of goal. Defended fairly well for the 90 mins. Thomas did well enough and influenced a couple of things when he came on which was good to see. Other than that? It was all a bit meh for me. -

What a shit fest. That said we should have had 2 right at the end of the half. -
C'mon man - your arguments are all over the place. Your original point was that we should have had 6 established players and 3 punts. But your definition of established wasn't consistent across the players you are talking about. Whether they are good enough players for Motherwell now that we have seen them is a different story. But to say it was 6 punts on non established players just isn't true by your own definition of established. Then your talking about how we have filled the squad with fragile players with no track record and then later saying we should be resigning Chalmers who is always injured! If that's not irony I don't know what is.

Yeah sure. Bowman wasn't in the 'established' list and your reason - he came from non league. Heneghan from Chester, Tait and Clay came from Grimsby...who were non league when they played for them last season. So that argument doesn't make sense. All have played a load of games for non league sides. They are all either established, or not. Brill made nearly 50 appearances for Inverness in the same league as us over a 3 year period. The last year completely missed by injury. That's pretty good going for a non established player. Belic. Cost us nothing. No risk. No loss there. On Chalmers - is he a fragile player with zero track record? He sure is. If anything the fact we signed him as an injury prone player with zero record and he is now coming on to a game would mean we should keep the current injury prone players like Blyth and Lucas. No? I'm fine with people having a different opinion on players and who as been good or not. But the argument being made needs to be consistent.

The increased fund line may be related to the AGM where they talked about having an extra home old firm league game and increased solidarity payments next season due to Celtic in the champions league.

Killie are only 2 pts above us and we have a game in hand. Top 4 are well ahead of the rest, St J maybe a slight edge. But alll the teams 6th place down are much of a muchness. Evidenced by the fact it's only a 3 pt gap between 6th and 12th. Tight game ahead I think but home advantage and confidence from Saturday will see us win I think.
