Hindsight get is great but I am guessing we saw something in Blyth and Bowman and we did need cover and options up front. Belic is an odd one but as a loan I guess we don't know how much if anything we are paying. Lucas makes sense as cover in centre midfield given its only to January and McHugh is out on his arse.
That said! If we aren't going to even give some of them a proper go in the team then it really is pointless.
That was howling the other night.
Samson out and Brill in
Bowman out and McDonald in
Ainsworth I think needs to play
Ditch the tactic of punting it long.
I don't want to see one of our strikers sitting deep.
Left midfield is a worry. MacLean gets another go but he didnt really impress upon the game enough and tended to come inside when I think we need more width.
McManus was shite but I don't see anyone else being any better unfortunately. So for now he stays.
To that end,
Brill
Tait Heneghan McManus McMillan
Lasley
Ainsworth Cadden MacLean
McDonald Moult
Edit: Similar to KMac and without even seeing the post!
I do agree but the guy he was shouting at has been shouted at by nearly every manager over the past 20 years....I would say shouldn't be used as a barometer for sensible input into games.
I am not a McGhee hater and not bothered he came back. I also am not sure how many people are 'staying away' because of him? I don't think we will suddenly see an extra 1k on the gate every week when he leaves.
However, I am not hugely impressed with a couple of things. He does not have a plan B and by default takes too long to try and change things. Some of the signings this summer were also very questionable.
The next 2 or 3 games could be very important with the league still relatively tight but starting to stretch out.
I doubt they will either. However- they have now shown they can be trusted to an extent. So if that means more quality time from the bench (as opposed to none!) working towards more starts then all good.
Hahaha. Ignore me.
You know what....I saw the story come up on something today and thought "I was sure he was on loan alrewdy somewhere else"...
What a fanny.
Other than Alloa and now ourselves, no other team has went in at half time, at Celtic Park, no more than 1 behind.
There's a contrived stat for ye. I am taking it as a positive and ye can't stop me.
4 of the 7 have seen first team action. Maybe 5 if Campbell has? Cant quite remember. Brill the other as GK. Hastie is a smashing player. Had a good game for the 20s last time out.
McMillan in for Hammy and MacLean in which can give us width on the left.
There's the youth getting a chance changes and no players out of position that most of us have been shouting for.
Could be a 442 or a 451/4411 with Skippy dropping deep.
