  1. Undisclosed - club happy with reward now and in future apparently.
  2. It's like papers have journalists who work with specific clubs to get stories in their paper first. Who woulda thunk it.
  3. Pet journalist is harsh. Good journo with club links with stories we can trust? Aye.
  4. To be fair...that is true.
  5. Exactly. He blows hot and cold. But is an important part of the team. Let's see how we get on without him if Thomas or MacLean are in there - not a slight on them directly but he is much better. We won't fold over and lose every game but he is a very important option to have on the pitch. Like someone else said, if he goes I think we will see Moult, Skippy and Ainsworth as a top 3....I know who I would rather have starting beside Moult and Skippy every week.
  6. You be happy if he goes for 250k and the club don't get what they want so you can just say....see, told ye so? I'd hope not.
  7. I think we will miss him. Not happy with the transfer request but I am still a big fan. Hope we get a fair amount of moolah or that he stays.
  8. I will be disappointed if we accept a bid that we wouldn't have done before the request. Match the valuation, or head down until January. I reckon he will go and we'll get an 'undisclosed' announcement.
  9. Interesting day ahead. I like Johnson, he can be frustrating, but can also unlock defences. Of course we could survive without but it could be a very different team without him. A positive of selling is it will get the women who sits behind me and shrieks about him every game for 90mins to stop. Hope we sell for some money and I also hope we pull the trigger on a replacement. If he stays I am also happy with that.
  10. Someone lock this thread....think we're done on the game...
  11. Yep - here is the article. You could lift parts of that and it would be the same as his recent statement. http://m.kidderminstershuttle.co.uk/sport/10469403.Agent_defends_Johnson_talks/
  12. Sure they can get every game on video. But the more a player is talked up, the more likely a local scout will pick up on it, the more likely a club will be to have look when they maybe wouldn't have before. Ultimately, yes, it's down to the performance of the player. But if you think the talking up of a player does not and never inflates a price or gets a player moved on then I think most will agree that is wrong.
  13. The club need to stand firm, which they have, and get a fee they deem suitable. Even more so given the timing of this request which leaves us very little time to sell and then get in a replacement of the same quality. Fully behind the club on this. However the fact we let Law and Pearson go mid contract for 'personal reasons' is a reason for Johnson to get in a bit of a huff.
  14. Just signed for someone this year I am sure.
  15. Good statement from the club.
  16. Just about to post the same. Interesting...could be in for a rocky ride with the fans if a deal does not go through in the next 48 hours.
  17. Aye, and I think before that it was Saunders, Forbes and Murphy.
  18. Aye, you are probably right about the website. EDIT
  19. If he goes to Celtic I'll will buy a hat and eat it. My position hasn't really changed. If we get a good fee in then he should be offski. But we shouldn't be letting him go for peanuts or just because he wants to. Plenty of players have handed in transfer requests and been told to knuckle down until the club decides. In other news, our ex right back is in the clear: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/14710693.Former_Celtic_footballer_cleared_of_attacking_ex_girlfriend_at_his_flat_before_Christmas/?ref=mr&lp=2
  20. As mentioned from others before, not sure of the legitimacy of this website but...apparently Marvin has handed a transfer in citing family/personal reasons. Pearson.....Law.....nearly McDonald....quite the trend we might need to nip in the bud. May not be true, maybe it is. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/29/motherwell-winger-marvin-johnson-hands-in-transfer-request/?
  21. Hateley was decent and fairly dependable but not the best right back in the world. Actually surprised so many people rate him - he got absolute pelters on here nearly every week! Tait looks also decent to me so far. Solid enough right back.
  22. Like most have mentioned. Cadden, Heneghan, McManus all played well. Chalmers, Tait and Clay also turned in good performances for long parts of the game. Heneghan for me though.
  23. Yep, correct - he isn't well. That's why he has changed things up.
  24. Likewise. I am still a supporter of it in principle but stopped the DD a couple months back. I just don't have the confidence in it - which is sad - we have been given answers but it all just seems very wooly.
