  1. Barnsley apparently pipping them to the post on that.
  2. How would you play it? Johnson right, Pearo left?
  3. Cowie getting slated by Wigan fans on Twitter...does not seem like they will miss him one bit! I always liked the look of him at Inverness but that was 6 odd years ago and he is 33 in a months time. Certainly has experience but does he still have the legs?
  4. Not until Monday 1st Feb at 11pm (same as England)
  5. I was about to say he is in the same league as Omar Daley but Daley has actually dropped down another level and plays for the mighty Oklahoma now in the third level of US football! Out of interest had a wee look who plays in the same league as Mensing - Nacho Novo, Wilson Palacios...and Freddy Abu! Champ legend!
  6. Yeah it was only Sunday Osman was in the paper talking about wanting to stay so it might be the agent drumming up pressure on Thistle to do a deal. Hopefully not and we are in with a shout as he would be a good signing.
  7. Daily Mail today...we appear to be be in for Abdul Osman from Partick Thistle. Inverness also interested. Does not mention if it's pre contract or transfer now. Defensive centre mid who can also play on the right? Seems about right.
  8. Damn, I was bought into that and starting to get annoyed before I got to the last sentence. Haha.
  9. Wouldn't change much but bring Law back in as he is fit. Ripley Law Hall McManus Hammell Cadden Las Pearson Johnson Moult Skippy I think we lacked a bit of confidence last week due to the Tynecastle drubbing but also because of the different feel to the team without Law and Grimshaw. We were not far-away though. Hope to see Cadden more influential this week. He did well and grew into the game but I would like to see that continue from the off and more to come down the right hand side this week. I think Law will help in that regard. Think it will be tight and hope we edge it.
  10. Thought Kennedy did fine. You won't get a full back performance out of him. But he did fine defensively. Also, apparently Reid picked up a knock on return from St Mirren. Which explains why he played an U20 game then dropped completely from sight. He is a hard worker which McGhee does like to see. So wouldn't be at all surprised to see him feature.
  11. Yep, I would agree. We have Law, Kennedy and Watt off the bat. Reid in emergencies. Also McMillan who is doing well in the U20s. Not a priority For me I would like to see a couple of midfielders in to give us options. One in the hard working tackling mould and maybe another more creative wide man type player who could also play left back like....yhe latter will be easy to find! I do wonder if McGhee will bring in any further back up up front given we only have Fletcher now. Or maybe he sees Faddy staying and or using Johnson and Ainsworth etc as secondary strikers.
  12. Nobody even got any rumours of players in? Usually a few on here 'in the know'
  13. Clarky is a good move as it gets him games and part or all of a wage to use. It does slightly worry me for cover up front though.
  14. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/14232690.Faddy_could_extend_Motherwell_stay__says_McGhee/?ref=twtrec
  15. Yep, March 2013. Only played them twice at dens since then though.
  16. This must be a piss take so I won't bite.
  17. With Robinson gone I would keep Clarkson as cover but probably not renew. If we don't we are only left with Moult, McDonald and Fletcher. Which isn't enough with Mackin and Moor out on loan.
  18. Again, like Robinson, best for Twardzik and us. He isn't playing, won't likely play and we need to create some space on the wage bill (whether that is a full wage or a % due to compensation). Spoke to him hospitality at the Thistle home game and it was clear he wasn't happy and wanted to be playing which was fair enough. Nice guy and definitely not 6 foot!
  19. Wonder who we will see going out. Youngsters aside on loan I can only see us releasing/moving on Twardzik, Reid or Faddy.
  20. You could say the same about 90% of SPFL games as well! That said...it's not as bad as the Oz league.
  21. The MLS deal is looking unlikely it would seem -http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2016/01/25/union-preseason-day-one/
  22. I'd imagine the latter. He only had 5/6 months left anyway.
  23. Its already on the Sunday. But the SFA statement didn't even list Fir Park as one of the 7 preferred venues so I can't see it happening. Assume that's because we are already playing.
