  1. If that happened we would be left with 2 first choice strikers, 1 injury prone striker and 1 youth in Mackin who has just had a sub appearance off the bench..... I would rather keep Clarkson or Robinson for some cover given we play 2 up top.
  2. Some unresearched and mis-informed opinions in here...shocker!
  3. Good news. I don't think the club will have any problem extending any of our lown players if they so wish, to be honest.
  4. I honestly don't think he is. Ripley is miles ahead of Twardzik but he isn't miles ahead of Samson. Ripley has been good but not as good as I thought he was going to be initially.
  5. Yeah agree with that - I think Samson would do more or less the same job.
  6. Yeah a whole host in the 2017 pot. Thought those 3 for 2018 were worth pointing out though as good business.
  7. We actually, for once, have a decent mix of players on 1/2/3 year deals. Big chunk of the 'older' players up at the end of the season: McDonald Lasley McManus Hammell Clarkson Samson Robinson Leitch Twardzik Fletcher Thomas, Moult and Johnson tied up until 2018 which is good business.
  8. Correct, they are key players who do make the overall team tick and more solid. Very important. But they are not...by far...currently our 2 best performing players. Two different things.
  9. After Sutton left someone else had to get the hard on from Ya Bezzer I suppose.... Hammell and Lasley are key but no where near our currently best performing players. Moult, Johnson, Skippy are making the major difference at this moment for me. Not far behind I would say Grimshaw and Pearo....then probably Las and Hammell.
  10. All it does is drive the overall % down. Bit odd to include I think.
  11. Loo-eh. Johnson, Skippy played well too but Moult the complete game
  12. Yep. I touched on this pages back but the likes of Derek Weir is a WS member right now. So even if the board did have to be 100% elected WS members when we get to ownership I reckon you would see new elections and current board members putting themselves forward.
  13. Only Joe Chalmers still out. Everyone else apparently fit and available.
  14. That goes against all the advice you often see from other club finance reviews by PWC etc. Seems mad if that is indeed the case.
  15. Yeah, better than friendlies. At least they are trying something different. Apparently doubled the TV deal for it as well.
  16. Watt and Thomas signed contracts until 2018 recently so I cant see them gling anywhere. I assume you are talking about Cadden and McLean?
  17. It's just someone's/some folk's opinion in the paper. Wouldn't read too much into it. What worries me more is the lack of representation we have in Scottish youth teams compared to former years.
  18. Always the risk of a dangling bit of roof due to the wind I suppose. Less likely back in the day as less stands!
  19. I usually park somewhere near the 5 a side pitches/lidl no bother and walk over. 5 min walk.
  20. They might be spending money but if 40k went on Lawson and the rest are of similar quality...then we should be fine.
  21. In reference to Goggles and Flippers original email. I would also hope to get more than 3k home fans for the first round proper of the cup.
