  1. Radio Scotland saying replays show it was never ever a penalty.
  2. I hope so but can't help but think about his attempt against Hibs. Celtic obviously got told on Sunday at half time that they had to have a go at taking their man on, particularly their wide men, and they looked a lot more dangerous. Hopefully our defenders can get tight enough to stop them getting service and one against one chances.
  3. Unfortunately it would be no great surprise if clubs were interested in taking Hartley off Blackpool's hands.
  4. Again, I haven't seen footage of his challenge on McHugh but thought at the time it was a run of the mill bad challenge that got the yellow it deserved. Accept what you're saying though. There doesn't appear to be footage of the various controversial incidents available in the same way there was when we beat Rangers - funny that.
  5. Someone earlier said they hoped Dembele would play tonight so they could give him dogs' abuse. While I've nothing againstoopposition players I don't see that he's done anythingoother than being fouled. I don't have BT so the only time i have seen the challenge wasat the ggame when I thought it was a great solid challenge. He certainly seemed to get the ball but I accept he may have caught him after that. Still sounds like a yellow cardat worst.
  6. If true, that's a very dangerous precedent.
  7. You're making me think of a scene in So I Married An Axe Murderer! (Yeah, I know it was in Canada). Haw, heid!
  8. Memories of 1978 still make me shudder. Smashing strip though.
  9. There was a really good interview with him on Radio Scotland on Tuesday night. Worth trying to get on catch - up.
  10. If he loves penalities that much he could have given them one for McDonald's challenge on Miller.
  11. I know what you mean but John (not Willie) Hunter has the stand name after him for being our league winning manager (as well as outstanding service to the club). This list was for post-war players. Edited to add that I know Willie Hunter was one of the Ancell Babes but there are only a few of the older players in the list. It would have needed a lot of the older voters to include him in their list to get him into the 25 but I guess that more of them went for the best of that era and a number of more recent players.
  12. That makes sense. Put a DVD on the tele and you're laughing.
  13. Can't beat a bit of al fresco drinking in November! Do they mean in the stand or on the tarmac outside?
  14. I think you're both saying the same thing. West stand tickets are being sold but he was looking for tickets directly behind the goals which won't be released unless we sell the other sections as this would be the area handed back for Celtic if we can't sell them.
  15. I've thought in the past that the emphasis has often seemed to be on winning the physical battle in the first half and then changing things in the second if needed to try to win the game. Going by the line up on Saturday that didn't seem to be the approach at County - maybe need to get back to worked before.
  16. I thought he misjudged the flight of the ball and tried to rise to intercept but wasn't quick enough. At the second goal he got sucked into midfield chasing a ball he'd given away. It's not the first time he's done it but it's the first time he's been really punished for it. He just needs to learn from it and know when he has to let a player go and get back in position. Hopefully we're getting the mistakes out of our system before the cup final.
  17. They're relying on season ticket holders or WS members vouching for those they're buying tickets for - seems reasonable.
  18. So is he doing a combination of Flow's old job and that of the recently departed fans liaison officer (or whatever his title was)?
  19. Or someone with a tranny. I remember being at Accies (growing up in Hamilton I would sometimes go to midweek games or Saturday games when we were playing far away) and someone walked round the pitch with a big board with the letters and scores on. Something like: A 1-0 B 0-0 C 2-1 and so on. Also remember a board with the half time draw numbers on it. Anyway, looking at my watch is a pain in the arse compared to glancing up at the clock but I suppose I'll get used to it!
  20. You're going back a bit there! For some reason I particularly remember that at Accies. I have to admit to being surprised by how much I miss the scoreboard not being there to glance up at the time. It must have been a habit I wasn't even aware of.
  21. His last minute double-shimmy winner at Celtic has to be up there.
  22. I don't think the league allow top flight matches to be arranged for the international breaks. When's the Scotland v Holland kickabout?
  23. I found the letter for the vote on that recently when having a clear out. I take it if we'd vacated the Cooper the club would have ramped up the prices for them. As much as I dislike them, behaviour like that would probably have come back to bite us at some point and we wouldn't really have been in a position to complain if we found ourselves getting ripped off. Anyway, we voted no and what a wonderful day it was.
  24. While the bookies might turn out to be right, the coupon I saw at lunchtime had Hibs as favourites. Unusual for a higher placed home team to be under - dogs. Personally I also can see it being a draw.
