  1. There doesn't seem to be any logic to the fees being mentioned for players. Compare Cummings at one end with the £100k offered for McGennis (admittedly also turned down).
  2. I also live in Glasgow but as I work during the day it doesn't really matter where I live - I wouldn't have been able to go out to buy tickets. As it turns out, I have something else on but that looked a bit dodgy for a bit and I would have gone to the game if it had fallen through. I just don't understand why there can't be cabin selling tickets up until kick-off. I'll be amazed if they aren't doing things for the home fans. Anyway, I'll just have to check my phone for updates.
  3. I really don't understand why this is all - ticket and tickets can't be bought at the ground up to kick-off. It's not as though it's going to be a sell-out. The first statement about tickets appears to have been today saying tickets are still on sale. Anyone who works or doesn't live near Fir Park will struggle to pick up tickets unless they can organise someone to go for them.
  4. I wasn't particularly impressed by Clay. I've not seen Lucas but would like to think he has more to offer. Of course he could be the best player in the world but that's no use to us if he's unfit.
  5. I would doubt it as they come under the auspices of the same FA.
  6. I initially read it as transfers following a cross - border transfer but I think you're right and it is later cross - border transfers. Possibly not something that will work to our advantage very often.
  7. Did Everton sell McFadden to Birmingham? Too late anyway.
  8. It says a cross-border transfer that involves a fee. That rules out MCormack and Hateley but does include Murphy - when did he move to Brighton?
  9. I'm confused! I find it astonishing that transfer fees years down the line get portions passed on to previous clubs. As welcome as any windfall is it does mean we have to pass on a portion of the multi million transfer fee coming our way for Marvin. And I'm doubly confused by the Rangers side of things. While Uefa acknowledge they are the same club, the business which would have been due the fee was liquidated. If they do get a fee, surely that would go to those owed money? They can't have it both ways.
  10. I thought the whole development fee stopped once players reached 23. He spent most of his development with Rangers but, of course, that would be the old Rangers that went into liquidation.
  11. They got Hemmings on a cut - price deal because of his release clause and it sounds like they thought they could chance their arm with us.
  12. No matter how well he does for Dundee we have to move on and accept his wage demands were beyond our means. Dundee were in a completely different situation from us as they needed to replace their main striker (who they had got money for).
  13. That would certainly help to explain it - seemed a very strange result.
  14. I'm glad the youngsters won but there's something wrong with the competition when you see the number of under-20 teams that went through (although a good few went out). Partick Thistle and Clyde used to have a good rivalry but it really shows how their fortunes have changed when Clyde lose 5-0 to Thistle's under -20s.
  15. From BBC scores, we're winning 1-0 at half time.
  16. I thought they had sold a lot more season tickets this season which would probably put an end to any notion of moving the away support. Although there is tv money involved, is it not only about £10k per team? In this case it could reduce the attendance by a sufficient amount for the tv payment not to make up for it.
  17. I've always thought Killie's pitch plays a lot better than Accies.
  18. Thanks. I did say I may have been mistaken! Anyway - does that count as a bidding war?
  19. The club has already made a complaint about lack of old firm games and we then seemed to have spent all of our budget when there had previously been talk of bringing in a couple of other players. This should make up for the 'missing' game which has caused us to reduce the budget and may allow us to bolster the midfield. We are also playing Celtic when they have a few defenders missing and before they bring in a few more new players who may be an improvement on what they have at the moment. Hopefully we have a right good go at them.
  20. Partick please. Reasonable pubs around and, from a purely selfish point of view, it's my closest ground.
  21. Yes. If we win a penalty shoot out we would probably go through. Of course, lose it and Stranraer might make it. Much better to win the game to save working all this out.
  22. I take it 8 points wouldn't get us through if we drew and got a penalty bonus point?
  23. Dundee have just sold Hemmings so are in a completely different situation from us. They need to replace their main goalscorer and also have a wee bit of money.
