One thing that stood out from McGhee's first spell was how he managed to transform a few of the players over the summer by working hard on their fitness. Do we have anyone that could fit in at left back with a bit of work the way Jim Paterson did? Johnson or Chalmers? I would be disappointed if we take one of our most threatening players and limit that threat by putting him in defence.

I've ended up feeling relieved it's all over at 7-0.

I admire Rankin's committed approach but he'll be 33 by the start of next season so would be seen as a stop-gap solution rather than trying to progressively phase in a younger midfield.

Is there not a nine point gap? Even if we win, Celtic would still need a point at Hearts the day after. I know the goal difference is massive but they don't officially win the league until it's mathematically impossible. If Aberdeen beat us then they can't clinch it until the next round of fixtures.

Probably not but he's expressed a preference to be nearer his family so if a Championship club is interested and likely to pay more then I don't see him coming back. I'd be happy to see him back which shows how well hes developed as I really wasn't impressed by him at the beginning of the season.

Are the games after the split going to be added?

I would have thought he's on wages (and would be able to get similar elsewhere in the Championship) that would put those clubs out of the running.

I thought that was a one year only deal and it reverted to the usual lop-sided distribution after that. All very much in Aberdeen's favour.

Hopefully the league placing will give a financial boost and we're due second home games against Ross County and Hearts so one good and one poor crowd. Of course that could easily be switched around depending on other teams' home and away game numbers. Edited to say that should be Hearts and Saints.

Completely agree but he needs to put in a good performance on Saturday to put his price tag up. That's the type of fixture that gets the attention. .

I think McGhee is more likely to go with Law at right back if he's available than Kennedy.

I hope your collection went well. I've donated to the previous collections but I only saw this on Friday and couldn't get stuff together in time. If there's any way you can give more notice in future it would be appreciated.

Did we not have a situation a few years ago when we asked to postpone a game due to illness and the opposition (possibly Dundee United) said no? I think this caused some bad feeling as we had accepted a postponement request from them in similar circumstances a few years previous. The whole incident could have been the other way round with us refusing to postpone!

The game against United was different as it was shown live but most highlights packages are put together by whoever they employ as editor. They in turn rely on the notes taken by whoever was sent to the game with the cameraman. For most games the pundits only see the highlights we see and any act of violent conduct would only be shown if noted down or widely reported by the media. If that game hadn't been on BT Sport then I don't think the incident would have ever been mentioned.

There will be many points the club can make to respond to the issues they have been found to be at fault with. One of these will be to point to this public announcement - it's all part of the game to be seen to be responding and doing the right thing. Responses involving steward numbers, police advice and the ticket policy will be addressed in a private manner, as they should be.

Looks as though Laing hit it so hard he pulled a muscle. While we sat pretty deep for a spell near the end, I think Accies only managed one shot of note in the second half and that was from the free kick outside the edge of the box.

245 away ICT fans at Hearts tonight which seems a surprisingly large away support for them, particularly midweek, when we've seen them bring smaller supports to us on Saturdays. Is this just down to them having fans living in Edinburgh because it's a hell of a trek from Inverness if it's travelling fans?
