I think the increase in attendance, and overall positivity, is just as much to do with the work rate from the players and the genuine positivity from all within the club as it is with the results. The messaging from the board and society all the way down to the media staff is consistent, open and honest, and considering how previous regimes treated the supporters, this goes a long way. Building the right culture and continuing to spend the necessary sums to keep a professional infrastructure should lead to us not depending on one person for success, whether that is a player or the manager, or chief scout, etc. Now, we're not going to keep finding Moults, but you just need to look at the summer recruitment campaign to see that our scouting and signing policies are working. Results can't be guaranteed, and there will be other Blyths, but when there's a clear process and work rate, mistakes can be tolerated by even our more negative fans.

One thing that shouldn't be missed is the save carson made from Christie after that long run, that was huge. It says a lot about our other signings that Carson is flying under the radar (to an extent) considering the goalkeeping troubles we've had in recent years.

What was the attendance?

Probably that, it kind of sounds the same. -

I think the only changes will be if there are any injuries/niggles. Don't see why Hammell should lose his place. It was mentioned that someone is putting off a groin operation, tanner I think? I hope Christie gets a receipt for that assault on tait. -
I picked bowman for the same reason as above, although there's a strong case for moult, campbell, rose, Hartley, hammell, etc. His work rate is phenomenal. I was definitely for moving him on, but now I'm wondering if we should try to keep him longer.

We should be beating teams like Aberdeen. -
I've never seen a more hardworking performance from us. Moult and Bowman were tireless, and even if they both leave for nowt next summer, I think it will be worth it just to watch a season of those two putting in a shift every week. Our decision to hang onto moult has already paid for itself too. This was the first time I got a good look at Andy Rose and I thought he was excellent in pressing and winning second balls, and I also think we benefited greatly from the presence of hammell on the park. It's been a long time since I've watched us without feeling like we're going to concede any minute. I counted a free header from an early corner and Carson's save from Christie as their only real chances. We need to extend campbell more, he's excellent.

No worries, its my job to tell people what's wrong with their stuff, and I'm on holiday, so needed something to whine about. It may be worth having some text on the sign up page to clarify this for the time being. I think I can help with some of this, and had been speaking to Craig just before he went off, so would be happy to help when he gets back.

So, when you sign up are you supposed to get a confirmation/welcome email of some sort? Other than the PayPal receipt?

Nope. You can see him shake hands in the highlights. -

It's great that we've had different people make an influence off the bench each time, with bowman, bigi and tanner all coming on and leading to goals in the last few weeks. -

Boring trivia - that was meant to be an extended fight scene, but Ford had the shits so they did that instead. Dunne's attempt at working while sick didn't work as well. -
Maybe people post stuff about him in forums because in every interview he comes across as a total paranoid mile oot.

The "playing better than results suggest" and "only losing by the odd goal" is textbook relegation fodder. I've seen a few motherwell teams with the same problem, just that one win good spell away from getting it right, then it's February and we're in the shit. There's also the motherwell tradition of ending other teams bad runs, so I might adjust my earlier prediction and go for a draw. -

2-1 good guys, Moult and Bowman. Thomas to get red for fighting with Erwin over who gets to take a penalty, which Erwin misses, but then they get another one later which they score after Erwin gets subbed. -
This is a totally normal thing that happens in every industry.

If cadden moves to wing back, I'm pretty sure the midfield will be bigi, mchugh and rose. -
I like that the first item in our signing checklist seems to be "looks like he can dish out a twatting"
-
Flow said one of the signings was a replacement for heneghan
-
I'd guess one of our expected signings must be a right sided defender then.

Peter Morrison out on development loan to Clyde.

Twitter bollocks account mentioning a loan for Jamie mccart.

If we have no money in the bank we'll also be in the championship. We have to balance putting the best possible team on the park with having a sustainable financial model that keeps us in the top division.

The other thing to consider is that although the Marvin Johnson deal has worked out, there is no guarantee that everyone we sell will go from strength to strength and command a bigger fee a few years down the line. You just need to look at the number of young Scottish players that end up coming back up here after a couple of years of reserve football.
