  1. Not sure where I got James from. Both Plymouth guys are out of contract, but Carey looks like he could get a better paying gig than us.
  2. As far as speculation goes, the only names that have been mentioned are: Graham Carey - Plymouth James tanner - Plymouth Jordan Owens - crusaders None of the mentions had any substance to them though, and Carey seems unlikely, just speculation on p&b or Twitter.
  3. I'd expect most of the signings in shortly before pre-season, with maybe a couple of loan signings coming in later after their teams have sorted their squads.
  4. Can we just bring back the baggy 90's strips, so that the average overweight fan can hide my fat better?

They like themselves a divisive motherwell player down there!
  6. I think the days of us announcing all the signings at once are gone, shame.
  7. Can he still play? Takes a good penalty.
  8. A winger, who plays for Plymouth, and Reading? I think that scores 100 on our scouting system.
  9. Cue announcement of new u21 reserve goalkeeper to a chorus of outrage
  10. Interview with the main man himself
  11. Considering how good our pitch has been lately, I'm guessing the guy in charge of it is an expert, so the work is probably needed.
  12. It was clearly a joke, but it took me a wee while to figure out we tweeted that cos he had found out he was released via twitter.
  13. I don't want a loan player instead of cash, and also don't want to move him to another team in our league. I'd assume that a move to England would be more lucrative for moult, especially if he can get a team in the championship. However, we can't force clubs to make offers, and we can't risk holding off until January.
  14. The rumours from the twittersphere are midfielder graham carey (Plymouth) and forward Jordan Owens (crusaders) Could just be the old, Irish manager therefore were signing all available Irish players deal though. Carey in particular seems like he'd get something more lucrative in England. Owens scores headers a lot.
  15. As long as more than one team is in for him we have a chance of a decent fee, but unless it's a bag of cash from rangers and we have someone on hand with a black light and and eye for detail I'd steer clear

In football manager fantasy land I'd offer him an incentive laden contract and hope it cost us a fortune. In reality, I don't see why we would offer him better terms than he's currently on, which I'm sure he could probably get elsewhere, but if he really likes it here it may not matter that much.
  17. Exactly, which is why it's hard to judge a new signing immediately. Are we taking a player with good stats out of a system that suits them, or have we spotted an otherwise underwhelming player who we think will flourish in our system?
  18. The best I can see us do with bowman is loaning him out. I think our model is going to generate more Clay's and blyth's than Johnson's and moult's. We're trying to find players with potential that no one else has noticed yet, and the only way to do that is to take a punt. We're at a level where if we have to compete with anyone for a signing we're probably going to lose, so we have to get in early. Another thing to consider is whether filling our bench with u20s is good for their development, if not, then its players like bowman and clay that are going to fill those spots.
  19. i assume that bowman's "celebration" is what Robinson is pissed off about? He did seem kind of upbeat about scoring a consolation goal in a shite game, but if that's the kind of thing that winds the manager up, interesting times lie ahead!
  20. In his post match interview on YouTube he specifically said he was going to try and move some players on, so have to assume that Blyth is on the way out at least.

I voted for McFadden, because I could, and I'll never get to do it again.
  22. Ok, so looking at a position at a time (with 2 new goalies a given), in defense we have: McManus, Heneghan, Hammel, tait, McMillan, Ferguson There's a decent chance Ben will be sold, and I don't know if Ferguson is likely to be kept, but the others are under contract. I don't know the nature of tait's injury, and if that could continue to niggle, but hammell is a cert to miss chunks of the season based on the last 2 years, and I'm sure that it's been mentioned that McManus misses a lot of training to protect his injuries. So it looks like we need a couple of center halves at least, with the likelihood that we'll be looking for them to cover the fullback positions when needed, or adapt to this 3 at the back deal if we continue with it. With robinsons supposed focus on organization and defense, I could see these positions addressed first, and it will be interesting to see if we go with experience or potential. Given what we've been like this year, we definitely need some pace here.
  23. If (unsubstantiated thing is true) { the club/board/manager/player/mascot should be fired, shot, hung drawn and quartered; } else{ Keep complaining about it as if it's true anyway; } If the club had an option to extend Moult, and they could have afforded it, they would have done it.
  24. No McDonald as per Robinson's interview today. Also mentioned that lee Lucas was injured, so now we know. Said we've made offers to players and has spoken to most of ours to tell them where they stand, with more discussions set for Monday.
  25. Don't want us to take the game lightly, but also don't want to risk an injury to Cadds or Ben. I want accies to go down mainly because of this project brave shite that they have a part in, and also because of that terrible plastic pitch, and I'm sure if Caley don't do the job the winner of Utd/Falkirk will.
