Hopefully Gannon sees something there, but as far as I'm concerned we're still lacking a right back, not to mention a striker. Not at all confident going into the new season with just Sutton up front.

If we were to let Hammell go (and if we did we better have a replacement lined up) I'd assume there would be a more tempting off footballingwise than SFL football.

If anyone is being let go, I would hope there would be replacements lined up. Even as squad filler. We're still a couple of bodies away from a team.

If he plays as well as he did the other night for the next six months there could easily be bigger fish than us sniffing about come Christmas. Can't really think of any really good reliable keepers in the SPL, Cerny and the OF aside. Hopefully the Gammon connection will persuade him to hang about, if we can afford the fee.

Slane is at a club where they have just employed a new manager who has a big reputation for giving youth a chance. He is now in the position where he has a good season or two ahead of him where he can expect to play at least semi-regularly for the our first team in the SPL. Only a total mongo would choose this as the time to move to Celtic and languish in their 19s / reserves for, realistically, another couple of seasons before the chance of first team football comes round again. IMO There is no way he will leave, and based on his recent performances and visible potential, there's no way MFC would accept any kind of derisory offer, and there is no way Gammon will allow his contract to peter out to nothing

While mcghee can't be blamed for players being offski, he knew this was likely to happen and his famed signing policy did leave us in the shit with only a handful of players signed up after he bolted. Although if Fraser is any indication of the quality he would have signed, maybe that's for the best
