  1. He signed a new 3 year deal in April.
  2. Agreed. Anyone know why we wore them on Thursday?
  3. Even if we're trying to move away from loan deals, it makes more sense in a case like this. If the guy lives up to his potential, great for both parties. If he lives up to the problematic reputation he seems to have gathered, bye bye.
  4. Yeah, no objection to bringing in experienced heads, but if we're splashing the cash, hopefully it's on someone who has more experience of top level football than Spencer.
  5. Brad Spencer would be a strange one. Signed a new 2 year (+1 option) contract last year, and at 30, not much in the way of potential resale value.
  6. Taking all the outgoings, incomers, injuries, new manager, and the fact we're basically still in pre-season into account, that was a positive display and result.
  7. 2 of their guys denied visas, including Moses.
  8. Yeah, we have, and what happens 6 months or a year down the line doesn't concern us (unless there's a sell on clause, obviously).
  9. Wonder how long it'll be before he washes back up in Glasgow.
  10. Looks like he's had serious injury problems and played very little football since he left us.
  11. Samsunspor have reportedly made an official approach for Watt.
  12. If we were going to bring a loan player in from our rivals, the Welsh deal worked almost perfectly for all parties. We won a watch, he won a move and, you have to say, the points he helped us win against Hearts and Rangers, didn't exactly hinder Celtic's league challenge. The one regret was O'Neill's pathetic recall, seemingly just to cup tie him, but at least they didn't make a killing on his move to Swansea.
  13. They really don't know when to leave things well enough alone.
  14. HB have sacked their manager.
  15. Liam Gordon's off, apparently.
  16. Kieran Ngwenya has rejected a contract offer and left Dunfermline - if we were actually interested in signing him.
  17. Very true, and thankfully so. I can say that now, having seen our wee club is still capable of playing decent football, after all.
  18. Undeniably, sometimes it works, results wise. But it didn't work for us when it came to getting folk through the turnstiles, which most of us had probably given up hope of seeing, until last season. Some clubs demand silverware, even at the cost of style. McInnes getting Rangers playing silky stuff (I know) will mean hee-haw if Celtic finish above them. With us, folk will be more forgiving if they're enjoying what they're watching.
  19. Seems he didn't know Jens personally, going by the video of him meeting the staff. "Max Rogers, assistant manager. Hopefully"
  20. I suppose the issue of a manager never having been a professional footballer only rears its head if and when the players start to believe he doesn't know what he's doing. Conversely, we've seen former top players seemingly lose dressing rooms because of their attitudes.
  21. Del, who has one league cup to his name as a manager. We'll see. I'm not sure what 'knowledge of our league' is worth these days. Most players & managers in the SPFL arrive from outside Scotland, and they're rarely here very long. On the downside, too many knowledgeable Scottish bosses seem stuck in the past, tactically speaking, and can't seem to shake off their defeatest attitudes when it comes to taking on the 'big' teams.
  22. Alfred Johansson, according to Graeme McGarry.
