  1. They may well do, but it wouldn't make much sense. He couldn't play against them in the cup either way.
  2. O'Neill might be on the level, or he may just be playing games here. Recalling Welsh - or anyone else from a diddy team - because he has no other options available, highlights the lack of spending at Celtic and pisses off a fanbase who are already furious at the board. Nothing I heard suggests he has any intention of giving Welsh a run, but we'll maybe get a better idea tonight.
  3. Aye, he's sick of Dingwall. Kettlewell said most of what's been reported is 'factually incorrect', but he didn't actually deny Hale had put in a transfer request.
  4. His pal, the unnamed source, should tip Celtic the wink he's available, then we can get Welsh back. Sorted.
  5. Hale's apparently handed in a transfer request.
  6. O'Neill saying there's a chance Welsh could be sent back to us if he can get players in and they have no further injuries. Sounded apologetic to Welsh, said he was enjoying himself 'immensely' here, complemented the football Motherwell have been playing, but said it's needs must. No suggestion they're punting him to anyone. Great as that would be, it puts JBA in a tricky situation, as there seems to be a will, but no guarantee.
  7. Stick Eythor Martin Bjorgolfsson up front with Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and make Derek Ferguson report on the game.
  8. Is there any suggestion Aberdeen are looking to loan him out?
  9. Full of praise for Motherwell. Says he'll be really surprised if we don't finish top 4.
  10. Neither did I, first look. Hopefully just a wee knock.
  11. Watt's not on the bench. Injured, mibbe?
  12. We can question team selection etc all day, but to me, it felt like the magnitude of the occasion really got to the players as a group. We've seen plenty of examples of how 'risk and reward football' can go either way, but if you're too scared to take any risks, the outcome is almost inevitable.
  13. Just under 20k, though I think they're talking about increasing that. I totally get the better atmosphere argument, but it would be ludicrous if anyone missed out on a ticket for a semi-final between 2 provincial teams because there weren't enough seats
  14. Some of our fans would've missed the game yesterday if it had gone to a smaller stadium. In hindsight....
  15. Same as yourself. Spoke to the club and they sent out the email with my bus number on it. No tickets, so zi'm assuming they'll just check your name and how many seats you booked at each bus.
  16. And you can add Dundee Utd, Hearts & Hibs to the list of post '91 winners who beat an Old Firm side in the Scottish Cup Final. Specifically, Rangers, for all 3 of them. Not forgetting Raith Rovers & Kilmarnock in the League Cup.
  17. I don't agree that we're hopeless at both ends. There are only 3 teams who've scored more goals than us, we've failed to score in just one league game and clearly haven't struggled to take the lead. But there's no way we can rely on scoring 3 or more goals to win a game.
  18. Probably missed something, but are you supposed to receive the bus tickets by email or pick them up from the office?
  19. Trevor Carson on loan to Ross County, the new St Mirren. Carson, Gallagher, Cornelius, White and Scott.
  20. Miller starts against Palermo in the Coppa Italia tonight.
  21. Stuart Kettlewell once spoke for 13 games without taking a breath.
  22. He came on in 81 mins. They were 3 nil down to Milan by that point.
  23. Fair enough, though that's an opinion. I don't see any reason why we couldn't.
  24. Any reason why we couldn't get that first win against Dundee?
