  1. That's being discussed, apparently. Arsene Wenger proposed it.
  2. The worrying thing is, you have someone saying, those communications are none of my business and I won't take them into account when voting. There's none so blind.
  3. If the idea we could play a home game against the Old Firm at Wembley is even a semi-serious fund raising proposal, we better start padding the board room walls.
  4. We can argue till the end of time about whether the Executive Board should be putting forward this proposal or their motives for supporting it, but once they've done so, can the Well Society board - under the rules - refuse to put it to a members vote because most of the board members think it's laughably shit?
  5. Perfectly understandable that folk have an opinion on the past records of our new signings, most of us probably google them as soon as they're announced. Judging them before they've kicked a ball for us is a different matter, and a lot of the folk who indulge in that will never change their opinions according to performances, for obvious reasons.
  6. 'comprehensive update' from club coming early next week. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2024/06/13/update-following-mondays-statement/
  7. Yeah, some are clearly falling over themselves to annoint him as the messiah. Seems their hearts and minds are set on accepting investment from whoever or wherever, and no amount of facts either.
  8. Signing off on quotes or articles written by others is one thing, telling someone else to go online and get involved in conversations with fans is another thing entirely. Why take the chance an employee inadvertantly says something to piss off a group of extremely easily pissed off people when you're trying to butter them up?
  9. Even if it's not the man himself, it's someone working on his behalf. As close as we're getting at this stage.
  10. I assume our lot looked at him, saw something they liked and believe they can help him more than his previous clubs have.
  11. Not being funny, but you should get onto Pie & Bovril, challenge him directly, or at least engage directly with the folk you think are falling for his patter.
  12. Snap. I wonder how many other fans have reacted to this proposal in the same way. And good luck to yourself and wellfan on the new arrivals front.
  13. "The design of our offer was always to give fans 50%+. Because there were discussions with lots of parties, and the actual governance of the Club isn't the easiest to understand, we landed where we did -- but if the main concern was keeping TWS, specifically, at 50%+, I'm sure smart people (not me) could sit in a room and solve it. Intention matters here." You'd think smart people would have realised how big a concern this was always going to be and solved it before putting the proposal forward.
  14. Did the hoop problem not concern teams competing in Europe?
  15. Taken in conjunction with yesterday's announcement, look out for missing plot posters going up on lamp posts around Fir Park.
  16. Coral and anthracite colours. True. This is claret? https://motherwelldirect.co.uk/products/mfc-23-24-training-t-shirt-claret-white
  17. Maybe some were working harder than others.
  18. Exactly, that's the biggest question for me. Is it possible to have an exit strategy from a football club that doesn't leave either party taking a huge hit - other than flogging the club to someone else. The Well Society haven't a hope of buying back at the end of year 6 and the details of the end of year 2 option make it clear these investors do not intend to lose their money.
  19. If I've read it correctly, the buy back option only runs till the end of year 2 - £650K being 2 years investment plus costs.
  20. Sounds like a 5 year mission...
  21. 2 Theo Bairs and a Mars bar.
  22. What expertise in running a football club is it bringing in?
