If that interview is to be believed, there is no desire at board level to bin Kettlewell. McMahon's here till the end of the season, and even if a new CEO was appointed next week, surely they couldn't be told to sit on their hands and do absolutely nothing about his contract? That means the obvious move, which some folk won't like one little bit, is to extend it.
