  1. We lost, that's a fact. You don't think the performances were good?
  2. I'm more optimistic going into the Livingston game on the back of those 3 defeats than I would've been on the back of 3 defeats under Hammell. I think we're all aware what the problem is going to be in the upcoming games, but the team's playing well enough otherwise to warrant optimism. I don't know what element of the support on here you think get a hard on when losing gallantly to those two, but it's certainly not anyone old enough to remember beating them at least once every season, no matter how shit we were. Having said that, the gap has become a gulf over the last few decades - doesn't mean we can't win these games, but it's obviously made it far less likely. At least we've actually had a go this week.
  3. If, as looks like will be the case, we're still in the top 6 after facing those two in back to back matches, we're doing ok.
  4. We equalised after they were subbed. What did they have to do with the goal we lost after that?
  5. Marc Fitzpatrick quit as Airdrie's assistant manager in 2019. Looks like he'd retired from playing prior to that, due to injury.
  6. If I had witnessed a trainload of Motherwell fans march through Central Station at the tail end of last season singing about being Billy Boys up to their knees in f****n blood, I'd be worried we'd lost our identity, or had an unhealthy fascination with the Old Firm. But they weren't Motherwell fans. Funnily enough....
  7. He originally signed till May 2023, but at some point over the last few months that changed on the official site to May 2024. Same thing happened with Stephen O'Donnell - does anyone remember the club saying his deal had been extended? https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2021/04/13/stephen-odonnell-signs-new-deal/
  8. Looks like it, though there doesn't seem to be any record of when it was extended, or who did it.
  9. Picked up a back injury in training, apparently, but they're hoping he'll be ok for the St Mirren game.
  10. I don't know how many they brought, but that was as full as I've ever seen Fir Park.
  11. Maguire's getting Kidderminster skelfs in his arse now.
  12. He'll be glad he didn't kick a baw tonight.
  13. True. But what difference does it make?
  14. Jon Obika. The devil finds work for idle hands....
  15. Only issue I'd have with Fletcher signing is he's a 36 year old who I assume hasn't done a pre-season. How long will he take to get up to speed?
  16. Footballers are always picking up injuries, it doesn't mean they are crocks. He doesn't seem to have a history of long term injuries, as far as I can see. Fair point, his lack of starts last season won't have helped, but that's obviously one of the reasons we got him. There aren't many teams we can go to and sign one of their first choice players these days.
  17. Ok. What happened that resulted in him being out today?
  18. He may have only started 7 games, but he played in 23. Think it's fair to assume he wasn't injured while playing.
  19. Given our ever decreasing choice of strikers, there's no way he could be allowed to leave now, however he performs.
