  1. Mibbe. And if it costs 20 quid to stream a game, they lose that revenue too. Question is, do they want fans in the stadiums or not?
  2. And once they're gone... Got to lower admission prices. £12.99 to sit on your arse versus 20-30 quid, plus travel, plus food/drink. I don't know how much revenue streaming's brought in, but keep it going as it is and you're gonnae have empty stands.
  3. The fact footage of Motherwell from that era is very limited in comparison to today, where every miskick is available from every imaginable angle, certainly helps the legends. Further back you go, better they get. Listen to my dad and you'd think the Ancell babes were the Man City of their day. Playing on coo parks isn't something anyone misses, but tonight we're playing 'see who can get the ball to bounce the highest', so swings and roundabouts in that respect.
  4. Aye, rose tinted specs. I wouldn't want to - couldn't - take our wee girl to a game if things hadn't changed. But they are some of my happiest, clearest memories, and I'm glad I've got them.
  5. The only way Allan Campbell, or anyone else, will really know how far he can go, is by moving onwards and upwards now. He's nothing more to prove here and since you can hardly get a fag paper between most of the SPL, it should be England. Decent Championship side would be a great start, there's no way he's Premiership standard yet. I'd love to see him make it in time. Whatever his true level turns out to be, managers will always love his attitude, so he should hopefully have a good career in front of him.
  6. Bragging rights. That's probably why it's always been a bit of a crap derby to me - despite knowing plenty folk from Hamilton, I've never yet met anyone who claimed to be an Accies fan.
  7. The Luton manager's said he has no interest in signing Campbell. "A lot of people have used our name because we are the type of club that likes to get people, so to generate interest, I would imagine someone has put that in the paper." Imagine that.
  8. Yeah, definitely. I meant, doubt him or his agent will be holding out for something 'bigger' at this point in his career, if they're being realistic. Unless it's a bigger club struggling further down the leagues.
  9. Between them and Millwall, can't see him getting interest from teams higher up.
  10. If it's £12.99 and you can cancel after one month, fair enough. Saw folk complaining yesterday it was 6 month minimum contract, but I see that's a £10.99 deal. Cheers Andy.
  11. Ah, bollox. Closed doors and 2 quarter finals you can't access without subscribing to a TV channel we're never bloody on. What's the point?
  12. You're right. Couldn't find him on Google under Motherwell. Left us at the end of the season for Cowdenbeath, a good few years at Brechin then up and down between lower leagues and juniors. Still no memory of him.
  13. Aye, when you put it like that....
  14. I have absolutely no recollection of David White. Any clues?
  15. Whatever the reason, the players had the bit between the teeth for those games. Quite possible they were driven by the guys you mention, so I'm probably doing them a disservice. In what way did you think it was stranger than this season?
  16. The injuries to players who were a huge part of our win last time might well be too much for us, but it's Hibs, so anything's possible.
  17. They were poor, but I'd still argue we wouldn't have been in that play-off to begin with if some players had shown as much desire during the season. Absolutely agree Baraclough shouldn't have been judged on those games, and he should've been shown the door irrespective of the result. Not nice, but necessary.
  18. There are still questions Alexander will need to answer next season, but completely agree. No idea how Baraclough's landed the Northern Ireland job, but he obviously impresses some folk. Always wondered how much the players were on to win the play-off, given how far their collective fingers were suddenly pulled out.

Wish someone at the club had said 'wouldn't make much sense' before we signed him. Not the guy's fault he's injured, but it's pretty clear he wasn't match fit to begin with.

Serious question - is he actually here?
  21. Right manager, decent squad, no reason why we can't compete for top 6 - and better - most years. We'll have poor campaigns, happens to everyone. Since our last relegation Dundee Utd have spent 5 seasons in Div 1/Championship, Hibs 4 and Hearts have gone down twice in the last 5 years. Sometimes we'll have to grin and bear it, but the trick is not getting into a tailspin. Given our apparent inability to buy, never mind buy big, recruitment and management are everything to us. Whoever recruited this crop needs hunted (if they're still here) and Alexander will get his chance to prove this isn't good enough over the summer.
