  1. Well in the game, aye. Getting beat, unable to equalise and therefore pointless, aye. At what stage of the season should we begin to have slight concerns?
  2. I've questioned this myself and got no idea who or where from, but we don't just need new players, we desperately need at least one 'inspirational' signing to lift the whole place, cos we reek of the championship. No gonnae happen though.
  3. I can see Smith quickly making a name for himself with our refs cos of his size and style of play, like Nick Cusack.
  4. Penalty coming for that mob. Ref's looking for any opportunity to stick it to us.
  5. If it was, Ferguson should've been off for swinging at Crawford on his way down there.
  6. At least the clowns who need to go are quickly identifying themselves to Alexander, one way or another.
  7. Harmless in their half, dangerous in ours.
  8. Looks like Johnny Hayes? No wonder Jock didnae spot the handball.
  9. The criteria here - and in any possible circumstance - is, professional football does not exist on planet Earth and is therefore not subject to the laws of reality.
  10. Picking up seasoned pros when the Old Firm were done with them served us well, McAdam, Patterson, Russell, Cooper etc. Changed days though, all you'll get off them now are kids or guys who've hung about for years without making the breakthrough. We can't afford any proven guys who aren't ready for the glue factory from teams at our level and loanees from the Premiership or Championship will probably end up in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen, if they even come up here. Unfortunately, just about every signing we make will be 'uninspiring'. You can only hope one or two turn out to be pleasantly surprising.
  11. That's some seriously deranged rambling, Celtic won't even post it. Gone by the end of the week.
  12. Aye, a striker who's never scored many goals anywhere is the last thing we need. Real quality's almost impossible for us to bring in, but if Alexander has a plan to fill positions with players who can actually play there, then play to their strengths, rather than just buy up a load of guys in a seemingly random fashion, that'll hopefully make the difference.
  13. 2 game unbeaten run, newly prolific striker and sent Hamilton to the bottom. More than anything, signs of a backbone.
  14. Make your mind up Craigan: stop trying to play football, just get the ball away/get your foot on the ball and try to make some passes.
  15. Unless you know of a player in Scotland who's banging them in for our rivals and could be prised away, you're looking at England or abroad. Big transfer fee, big wage and a desire to sign for a team stuck at the arse end of the SPL. Wire in with suggestions.
  16. Very true. But if you want someone who has a good goal scoring record at the moment, not 3, 4, 5 years ago, we're gonnae have to find a guy playing at a pretty low level. Then you're taking a slightly different punt.
  17. Problem is, they don't want to be seen to punish a player who has/had a potentially life threatening illness. My work, I get hit by an elephant falling out the sky, it's an absence. Get covid, it's not.
  18. Got to hope, but I'm unconvinced we'll move far without a good few signings. Whatever happens, the 'nowhere near relegation' patter was clearly wide of the mark.
  19. Aye, but how many have had 2 games postponed because of those breaches, and would've added a third, had they got their way? Were St Mirren told by their health board they couldn't play, or was that their own decision? They can celebrate this as a victory for 'justice' and 'common sense' all they want. It's actually a victory for lackadaisical bastards with a distinct lack of common sense sticking 2 fingers up at the rules that were put in place to let them work when thousands of others were not afforded that privilege. It smacks of the same pish Celtic tried to pull. Instead of holding their hands up, it's 'could've happened anywhere/to anyone' and 'poor wee us, we're the real victims here'. And no, I don't want the points, I'd rather Motherwell skelped the pair of yous, fair and square.
