  1. Yup. I'm going on the assumption he needs to play football for someone if he wants to make the Euros, and that someone has to be us now. We'll see. One thing's for sure, whoever went to the papers about the trigger hasn't done him any favours. Nor has his former boss.
  2. Mibbe Seedorf was an auto correct mistake on the team sheet.
  3. I dare say you'd be hard pushed to find anyone in our squad who wouldn't fancy more money, here or elsewhere. (A huge) If he was feigning injury to prevent a contract extension being triggered, does that mean he can sign and play for another club despite the window being shut? What date does his current contract end?
  4. I can't see what the club or Gallagher would have to gain. This is what happens when someone makes accusations against unnamed players.
  5. Cheers. Thought so, just didn't see the usual links and having bother getting signed in on the official website the now. * got it now.
  6. Is the game available ppv or is it on Sky/BT?
  7. Strange one. Only signed for Blackpool in the summer and he's been in the team or a used sub in most games up until the last 2 or 3. Rangers mentioned as looking at him too, though there's a suggestion that was his agent trying to stir up interest.
  8. When I said fair sized, I meant skeleton....
  9. Alexander talked about wanting 2 players for every position in his press conference, not just for cover, but for training purposes. Sounds as though he'll be looking to keep o keep a fair sized squad in the summer.
  10. I'll be honest, I don't know who I want us to sign. As you say, there are folk being paid to do that job. I realise how difficult it must be to unearth gems at the best of times, never mind the worst, so I'm willing to cut them plenty of slack. It all feels a bit 'never mind the quality, feel the width' to me, so Alexander's approach in the summer will be interesting. I sincerely hope the new - and old - guys do well, cos staying up is all that matters right now.
  11. Realistic, with a wee touch of optimism on a good day.
  12. You'd need to ask those in charge exactly what inspired them to bring back an overweight has-been. Forget 'inspiring', it was a bollocks choice of word. And forget this window, it was always gonnae be difficult to pick any quality up. What depresses me is our inability (or unwillingness) to pick up guys who are on the way up/had decent careers but moving down a step or two/currently in form, or even playing on a regular basis. We're bringing in players who are surplus to requirements at clubs who are at - or below - our level, and players who've wandered around the country, impressing nowhere and hoping for an occasional surprise. Too big a squad, with very limited ability. That's our reality now unless there are some young boys waiting to break through. I don't know enough about our youths to comment on the likelihood of that. I'm yelling at clouds, I know that.
  13. Would've been nice to get even one inspiring signing, but good luck to them all. Got to wonder how many of them are gonnae be an immediate option, given their apparent lack of game time this season. Hopefully one or two can provide better options from the bench until they get up to speed.
  14. I'm willing to give the guy a chance, but could you tell me where it has worked out for him?
  15. The Chase is Better Than The Catch just came on my mp3. Spooky.
  16. This is what happens when you sign forwards who can't score.
  17. Are they spinning a wheel with names on it? I get we're no signing from the top table, but it's looking really haphazard now.
  18. Dunne's contract extended till the end of the season.
  19. I see Turnbull's refusing to agree with Lennon that the players have let him down, says that's his opinion. Headline doesn't tell the story, as ever. But aye, guaranteed he'll score against us.
  20. Aye, time to let it go. He's had his say, so I assume we'll be hearing no more about our playing staff from him and we'll all live happily ever after.
  21. If you listened to it you would be able to give an honest opinion on what he said. Probably still be different from mine, but that's what makes horse races.
  22. I don't blame him for talking himself up, if he's on about cup finals, 3rd place, Europe. But he's getting into stuff regarding players and the club that's purely designed to deflect any hint of criticism from himself. I've heard more about the inner workings of Motherwell from him in the past 7 days than I have from the last 7 managers combined. You're ok with that, I'm not, and I'm reasonably sure there will be folk at the club who would rather he'd keep certain stuff to himself, at least for more than a month.
