There is no reason why a ball playing midfielder can't work hard. When Polworth had a few good months his work rate was excellent so he could do it when his head was right. Vigurs was just unfit but I honestly don't think we'll see many more players like that as the game has moved on and everyone has to produce stats in training and games.

You could have said the exact same thing about Watt and he has been a great addition to the club. Lafferty has done extremely well in his spells at Killie and Hearts which is our level. I don't see him as a risky signing. Especially compared to Moult.

Celtic are apparently skint but I don't see them selling Turnbull this summer. They need a similar number of new starters to us but they also have to hit the ground running with a new manager. Turnbull guarantees goals and assist in this league so they can't afford to sell him. From his perspective it depends on who they bring in as manager. If it's someone who can develop him he should hang around for a couple of seasons before heading south. If it's a Lennon/Delia level appointment he should start agitating for a move immediately.
