Given that our first team is full of Conference players it seems far fetched that Conference teams are going to want players who can't even get 20 minutes off the bench for us.

The police probably don't want our fans coming out to the Peacock Cross area at 5PM. It's usually bedlam up there after an Old Firm match.

Lucas is 24 and has played a handful of games. He's got no more experience than the youths really. It would surely have been better to roll the money we are spending on him, Belic and Blyth into a starting midfielder and use the younger players as cover and subs when need be. Motherwell teams that would have hammered the current incarnation got good service out of Fitzpatrick, Smith, Page, Kinniburgh, Saunders and Forbes none of whom went onto a good career but made important and cheap contributions. Craigan talking about players not being ready is unbelievable. He wasn't ready but getting some appearances under his belt didn't exactly hurt him or MFC. Reading this forum sometimes you would think the club existed for the purpose of selling players to English clubs. If we become a development team for Conference players - which we will be in 12 months time if we don't change tact - attendances will go through the floor. Who actually wants to see that?

There are young players better than Lee Lucas. There are young better than Craig Clay when he starts walking about. There are young players who should be in the team ahead of McFadden. Cadden only got a shot because we got hammered 6-0 at Tynecastle and McGhee was under major pressure.

They brought in a Czech internationalist left winger in the summer who was keeping him out the team.

Bowman might do a job as a target man in a 4-4-2. Asking him to do anything more complicated is going to end badly as we saw last night. Faddy is pacing himself during 20 minute sub appearances. I don't see him starting anytime soon.

McDonald is only capable of playing off a centre forward these days. This season he has been leading the line up front and playing wide in midfield a lot of the time. Utterly pointless.

We've just played like one in the majority of our games this season.

The tactics and formation were a shambles to start with. Moult on the wing, Skippy leading the line at times, Bowman miles out his depth (can't fault his effort though). It got worse when Lucas came on. It's depressing that any dross from the Conference can come up and go straight into the team but our own youngsters don't get a look in. It'll be interesting to see if it's the usual international break week off for the players or if they are actually going to bother to go into work next week and try and improve.

Heard on the radio that the M8 is shut due to a crash which might effect the crowd. Motherwell was gridlocked as well because a kit car crashed on the dual carriageway but that shouldn't take long to clear.

I think it was about creating a deterrent to stop it happening again and from the SPFL's point of view everyone on the pitch is causing trouble and MFC saying they can't identify even one person is a bit of a joke. I don't think the SPFL want everyone banned just a few people getting made examples of to make more people think twice in future. Credit to the club for not sticking anyone in though.

The SFA organised the game and the security so they can hardly blame the clubs for what happens in Hampden. It is completely consistent with the rules. Motherwell weren't censured for fans going on the park. They were asked what they were doing to identify people that ran on the park and ban them and the threatened punishment was because we hadn't made any effort to do that. Given that 80 odd people have appeared in court since the cup final it's not comparable at all.

Moult got injured between scoring the four goals and the Thistle game. He might have said he was ok to play but it was obvious at the game he wasn't and was basically a man down for his time on the park. Hopefully he will be fully fit for Friday.

Louis Moult needed an op but still played some cup games for reasons unknown. Moult hurt his hamstring last week but still stumbled about Firhill for over an hour on Saturday for some inexplicable reason . Craig Clay was on the website saying he is still looking for full fitness 9 weeks after making his debut and walks around the park for a good 20 to 30 of every single second half. Faddy looks at least a stone and half overweight. McDonald and Hammell are both carrying too much weight but that's standard for them.

In the Accies game we started without a left mid which would give Paterson and Nicholson a free run at Hammell which isn't happening. In the Thistle game McDonald was terrible at left midfield so I doubt we will see that again. It's worrying that we've signed 10 players this summer and Chalmers might be the best option if he's fit (and since McGhee doesn't seem bothered about who's fit and who's not these days he might even play if he's still injured).

We struggled against Accies when they switched to five in the middle of the park and Thistle had our number on Saturday. Cadden needs to be in the centre, other than that it's a difficult team selection. Our lack of anyone who can play on the left hand side of midfield is really hurting us. There's no chance we can play Bowman, Moult and McDonald.

They should be able to bet on games outside Scotland. The idea that Scottish players could fix games in other leagues or internationals or that anyone match fixing would use their own betting account is ridiculous.

There should be a decent atmosphere regardless of what Aberdeen bring. They haven't been bringing a big support regularly for a while now. It'll be interesting to see how many Hearts bring next Friday.

There is a shocking lack of respect on here for the only person to have seen every away match we've played in UEFA competition.

Stewarding and the rent to the school must eat up most of the 60 quid a year.

I thought Bowman did well today until he tired. He lead line and allowed Moult and McDonald to play, he's a bit rough but has plenty of areas where he should improve. Clay faded in the second half again and I think we suffered later on from not making changes as Clay, Cadden and Bowman were all burst. Sticking Lionel on the left doesn't give us any real benefit. On chances created a draw would have been fair but it's good to see a few goals and Moult's attitude is different class. He's desperate to win and score every time he steps on the park.
