gannon's approach strikes me as much more organised and professional and probably didn't rely on old pals or combining scouting with a holiday.
-
what are you talking about!? anyone would be mental to quit being a professional footballer because they don't like the position their getting played in. i'd guarantee that cousin mentioned earlier juked accies because he thought he could get a game elsewhere in his preferred role and was proved wrong. the idea that anyone would think i don't like playing this position for 90 minutes a week, i'll go and get a job in the real world where i won't get paid a fortune to piss about with mates, work out, play fitba, have birds on tap and only be in work for 15-20 hours a week is insane.
-
not really. obviously gannon had an advantage of his knowledge of the english leagues but brown and knox have been working in england in different capacities as well and should have contacts down there as well. all the players we've been linked with so far reminds me of malpas signing keegan and molloy for the sole reason that they had the same agent as danny murphy.

the st mirren game was disapointing but i think the win against hearts vinidicated it. the two games against united have been incredibly unlucky. we lost 6 goals from 9 shots and i think in both games we were outplaying them and making more chances before we self destructed. in both games we had bad decisions with the offside goal and the pen which would have made a difference. the falkirk game was shite and celtic was close but no cigar which is just par for the course of being a well fan. brown and knox's big test will come in the summer. so far we've signed mcglinchey and been linked with moore and pellegrino all of whom knox would have heard about on his oz trip. we've also been linked with a ugandan more than likely reccomended by bobby williamson and two americans that have came on our radar while talking to everton about the juke and ruddy. so far so uninspiring (and malpasesque). they've got to prove they can go out and find a few players rather than just mopping up scraps passed their way. i was also disapointed that mchugh or even smith didn't get on as a third sub at the weekend. brown has played a lot of young players but they all had 10+ starts under their belt, will he show the same faith in mchugh, pollock, meechan, page, haslam, quinn ect when the time comes.

a construction cost of £13 million quid in qatar probably equates to about £30 million over here. unfortunately our government isn't too keen on asian slave labour.

my bladder almost exploded on a replacement bus from dundee to aberdeen earlier this season. the driver wasn't interested in my medical emergency chat is the bus only on the way back? and does it effect the bellshill route? edit - don't see any probs with the bellshill route.
-
just looking at the official site there. it's pay at the gate but if you want to get u18 or u12 tickets you need to go to fir park in advance. bit odd.
-
i don't think the club needs that kind of publicity.
-
great news. solid in the air and comfortable with the ball at his feet, he'll be an important player for us over the next few seasons. the perfectly fair tackle where he almost broke barry robson in two was one of the highlights of the season.
-
for parking there's a street called robertson avenue off of gorgie road. there's a barratt homes showroon there and some new flats, always easy to get a space there. i'm training it, cannae wait

cammy bell is out of contract at the end of the season.
-
jonny page is doing well at stirling. a home grown defensive platoon of saunders, craigan, hutch, page, hammell, haslam and quinn will do me next season. get any money we have spent on the top of the team.
-
not really. i wouldn't like to go back to the farce of jokers like gullo johnnson and james okoli turning up for a month then disapearing. it's our own youngsters who need the playing time.
-
i'd have him on saturday. anyone got any other suggestions? alan main is about all i can think of which is hardly a ringing endorsement of the teuchtar tan man.
-
i'll be there i'm just going to mump and moan about it for a while
-
in the context of the six billion people in the world he's top drawer. in the context of keepers that have played in the spl this season i can't think of any that'd i not have in ahead of him.
-
i know. i was delighted when i heard they were playing the barras, i've been wanting to see them for ten years. on the other hand. since march last year i've only missed the game in albania and it seems mental to miss what could be the biggest game of the season. right now i'm thinking bomb threat
-
think i'm going to go to the game. options are. 1. first half in the east stand second half on the radio then the gig. 2. full game on tv in town then the gig. 3. full game in the east stand then rush in for the last 45 minutes of the gig. 4. punt gig tickets and use the money to go on a end of season bender on the sunday after ibrox.

i heard someone say that about craggs testimonial on saturday. good news. it's bad news though if we can't play any potential european games at fir park again, i would have thought two months between may the 5th and the start of july would be long enough to get it sorted but obviously not.
-
gutted. i've got tickets to see pavement at the barras that night.
-
what do people actually want from a stadium? your there to watch the game and i don't see any difference between the plastic seats at ibrox or hampden and the one i sit on at fir park.

it was a bit steaming when i started this thread but it was more a reaction to the threads having a go at the players rather than any suprise/disapointment at the support we took last night. i was a bit shocked when i saw some of the threads as i felt walking out the game that the team had done well and there wasn't as far as i could tell any discontent at the game (except from at JOB for running to robbie keane at the final whistle). there are however serious questions to be asked about what sort of standards we can demand of the club when we have what looks like a declining regular support. it seems as support as a single entity right now we're demanding more than we're willing to put in.
-
i'm suprised to see so many fingering pointing threads on here tonight. especially so many ones beginning at quarter to ten. there are teams in the blue square that can take more than 150 to a local game. once again our support was a joke, everyone can laugh at celtic's support but they had 1/4 of their usual home support, we had 1/6 of the support at tannadice and 1/3 of our last trip to the paedodome. what does that say about the well support? our support is a joke. we want european football but we've got non league fans. 3,000 in nancy. 2,000 in llanelli. 150 max 14 mile down the road.
-
he's played 2 and a half spl games and we've lost 4 goals to crosses. the guy can't handle cross balls and his kicking is dire, anyone who says they'd be happy to see him as our outright number one next season is mental. we should either be lining up a loan deal, looking to take smith or brown from hibs or trying to sign bell from killie on freedom of contract. anyone who says fraser is the new buzz is talking shite. fraser is the new woods, smith was a proper keeper.
-
rangers have never not played 19 home 19 away. FACT. they're 99% guaranteed the league before may this year and they still get preferential treatement. just switching the last fixture from ibrox to fir park makes things much fairer but the spl wouldn't countenance it.
