For someone whose opinions on players have been so spectacularly wrong in the past I'm surprised Steelboy thinks anybody is still interested in what he has to say.
Obviously not the brightest.
I'm pretty sure it was after that game that Malpas said "it's just your Donald Duck. Once the players cross that white line there's very little a manager can do". I think he also mentioned the players being in "holiday mode".
Should have been told to beat it at that point.
Given the amount of pant wetting that has gone on I'm not surprised that they have stopped trying to predict when the deal will be complete. When there's any news they'll tell us.
I was encouraged by the fact that the possibility of Faddy signing was mentioned in the McManus interview on MFCTV. If there had been any negative developments yesterday I don't think they'd have mentioned it and would have just stuck to the positives of the McManus signing.
I'm hoping the announcement's being intentionally held back until this afternoon to try to give tonight's attendance a wee boost. All seems a bit quiet though.
I think most would accept that there are reasons why it would appeal. However IMO if you look at the bigger picture it's an absolutely ridiculous move.
Add in that there could be a court battle over who owns the stadium and training complex, there's a dirty tricks campaign in the boardroom in progress, there could be administration on the horizon etc etc and it's even less appealing.
For the benefit of your career you surely choose the one where you can improve yourself rather than the one where you'll deteriorate (Black, Shiels, Sandaza, Templeton, Wallace...)?
IMO we've done alright as £130,000 is better than SFA that we'd have got if McCall hadn't signed a new contract.
I'm looking forward to the speculation over who the new manager will be.
I'm not sure Wallace, Black, Shiels or Tempelton would agree with most of what you have written. How good a move has it been for their careers? Any of them getting a move down south? Their bank balance may have gone up but they have deteriorated as players.
Anyone who signs for Sevco is doing so to the detriment of their career and it's certainly not a "springboard".
Was it not more of a threat from current season ticket holders/pay at the gate fans that they'd walk away rather than promises of others to start attending?
