As much as it might annoy people with me praising kettlewell, but its arguable that spittal has played his best football under him.
Spittal did well under him at Ross county and earned himself a move to us (after failing a bit previously at Dundee Utd) he was rank rotten with us under Alexander and then worse under Hammell and then became one of our most important players under kettlewell again.
by all accounts he’s been rotten so far at hearts. To be fair I’ve only seen him last week against us and I didn’t see him do anything until they pulled a goal back and then he was whipped off.
i don’t blame him for going and getting his move as I’m sure he’s on a good wedge but I agree I think we’ll see him out on loan to someone else next year.

I agree, we are not a club who can afford to lose a group of dedicated fans who, in general, represent the club well.
i am also an old buffer and i hope something can be sorted out soon and these bois can continue attending games ……so they can at some point in many years to come, be old buffers too, still watching the ‘Well and bringing their own weans.

Odonnell was excellent but went for young Wilson, thought he was great all game, full of energy and made a block near the end that was as good as a goal. Well done young man!!
-
Well fk me I never saw that happening. Absolutely fkn brilliant.
really good performance and a good game. Ok Hearts were poor but we were at it all game. Loads of 8 out of 10 performances there.get in!!!!
well done players - well done SK

Mixed feeling with this of being delighted with that 1st half performance and being a bit gutted we are not 3-0 up.
-
Get in!!!!
overdue to be fair, we should be goals up already
-
Bright enough start. Big Dan should have buried that tho. What a sitter.

I am a tad concerned on our scattergun signings to get out of an injury crisis but at least Vale knows what he’s going to face up here and we know what he’s like ( a very decent player who acquitted himself well last season) so I’m not against this particular move if it comes off.

Phil was training with us after finding himself without a club. We had much longer to look at him before signing him.
I can’t remember how long Phil trained with us before signing? You have a better memory than me.
jacks been training with us a couple of weeks so I suppose we’ll see how it goes.

Always felt Ryan Jack was really underrated. He was always panned by the tartan army and Aberdeen fans, Aberdeen fans I can understand but the tartan army thing might have been the rangers connection? or that the majority of the tartan army haven’t a clue about football…. (Sorry just my view, I’m sure the Motherwell tartan army are clued up)
if we can get him on a pay per game thing I’d be pleased with that but signing him long term with his injury issues is a bit of a worry. Although I do recall we signed Phil back when he’d played something like 5 games in 3 years and he was phenomenal for us.

Great to watch a winger at Fir Park finally . Dug out a result so no problem with that hopefully that’s the last we see of Halliday
There’s just something about a winger in the team that makes things better. It just balances things out better and always gives you an option.
give me an old fashioned 4-3-3 every day of the week with 2 fast wingers.

At the end of the day he's better than anything we currently have (at least on paper).
I really couldn't give a shit about his past history it's what he does on the park now that counts.
Hope it works out for both him and us.
This
i don’t ever get too worked up about players leaving.. he wanted to stay at fir park but didn’t get a good enough offer, took the cash to go to Utd. End of chapter.
New slate for me now, go out and replicate the job he previously did for us.
i think it’s a decent move for us. We all know he has ability

Agree its Outrageous , section A 1 and A2 I think they said so a shit view in a shit stadium. How can prices like that encourage people to attend games.
Motherwell are just as bad, it was £26 for seats in the POD for Ross County on Saturday.
It’s when you add the cost of taking your kid, getting a hotdog, pie etc. it’s a lot of money in this current climate.
you wouldn’t mind so much if the product was good but it’s not. The standard of every side has deteriorated so much in the past 10-20yrs.

£33 for a ticket FFS. I heard Killie paid £36 at parkhead as well at the weekend.
£26 for accies v Ayr as well.
Scottish football is ruined.

The Dundee Derby showing up just how poor our midfield was yesterday. Both teams have mobile midfield players bursting forward, the exact opposite of us.
Fortunately both also look shaky at the back!
Both teams are absolutely miles ahead of us in my opinion.
dont want to be a doom merchant but it’ll be a fight this season between us ross county and st Johnstone. To lose out on 2 points yesterday was not good. Just hoping we get a few midfielders back (as those on display yesterday, apart from miller, will not do) and AP turns out to be a player.
-
I can’t contain my excitement for another 37 games just like that one.
Total football….breathtaking stuff.i think it’s safe to say us and county will be in the relegation mix this season.

Halliday should be nowhere near set pieces!! Who signed off on that one!!!!

I don’t like making snap judgements on new players and it annoys me when the support do….. so I apologise in advance for making a snap judgement. Lol
Robinson isn’t going to do.Please prove me wrong Mr Robinson.

Noted Ewan Wilson has 3 assists in 3 matches.
Been really impressed with this lad and I was when I saw him last season too. Hopefully he’ll get his chance this year.
