I think that is a player who would fit reasonably well at us. I suppose it just depends if he wants to go from earning circa £10k a week to £2k a week. he may get some club in league 1 offering £5k plus. We just can’t compete with these teams unfortunately.

I agree completely. The stuff he gets is embarrassing. He’s been a target from day 1 of a certain element of our fans. Even when he was playing well. In 50yrs of going to games I’ve seen it all before unfortunately.

As much as i struggle to warm to Halliday, I have no doubts that he’s a good football player. I actually think he’d be excellent as an old style sweeper behind a good centre half. The issue is, we need to find a good centre half.

Yip, I went there today expecting exactly this. And boy was that delivered. I think I may be one of the perceived pant pissers as i recognise a couple of my comments lol I certainly didn’t mean to offend or annoy any of our precious forum members but I don’t think I was wrong? But it’s a pre season friendly I agree and tbh I’ve forgotten all about it today. As much as I didn’t see many positives last night, it was good to watch us play and have players getting game time against a good side and I did think highly of a couple of youngsters thrown on in the 2nd half. ultimately tho it’s a fans forum, loads of supporters have different views, no point in folk getting worked up about it.
