  1. 12/1 for Lomas is a reasonable shout....irish connection with Craigan and Robinson, also Macdonald at Millwall. No thanks Craigan / McCall / Houston / Reid / Frail
  2. Mixu or Pressley i'd be reasonably happy with. Billy Davies will be touted and some of the other usual suspects. I really don't want Craigan, if he's in charge we'll be waiting for another 17 years before any wins at Ibrox, he's straight out the McCall school of bumming up the "terrifying" atmosphere at ibrox /parkhead (as he stated pre-match of the first play off game) He's also too pally with the players, although financially he would suit the board/society/whatever we have? as long as we avoid / Williamson/ Jeffries/Calderwood etc etc etc

Good luck to the guy, I've no doubt he did his best. In a way I think he's been let down a lot by certain individuals at the club but a more clued up strong manager wouldn't have let that happen. We need a manager that'll rattle some cages and not ask players to give too much of an opinion....they need telt!!

Whatever happens he was in charge of one of the happiest occasions of my Motherwell supporting life, so if he goes, he goes with my best wishes!! I think most of us were willing to give him another season due to a general slight improvement, the play-off games, and the feel good factor they brought. I have to say as well I was reasonably happy with the signings he’d made minus a couple of the loan players…..although the signing of 5 strikers did start to raise some concerns. I do now however, think it’s time for him to go as he’s not getting anything out of some of the good players we have, whether that’s his fault, the players fault or a mixture of both the buck definitely lies with him and as he says take it out on him not the players…..ok then Ian. My ultimate concern is who is to replace him? some of the names mentioned…eg Calderwood + any other dinosaur is just not the way to go…Craigan/ Robinson/ Leitch…definitely not….McGhee? maybe, but the way he left us originally, still sticks in my throat and is he really going to want to manage us again when our support sang at him about abusing children? I doubt any of us have the right answer but we are putting our faith in a board and chief exec with no real football experience and a track record of employing someone who they liked as a person and interviewed well with his middle management positivity speak!! Whatever happens, I’m guessing there will be many who are not happy!!
  5. That's the last away match i'll be attending.........£34 I can ill afford, to watch under achieving born losers.
  6. Spending money we don’t have is going to lead to another financial train wreck. I’m now genuinely concerned. Clearly this is not Baraclough’s fault, he’s identified players he thinks he needs (minus a right back) and like any spoiled child, he seems to be getting his way. As much as Uncle Les thinks he’s a 21st century philanthropist, he is not Andrew Carnegie. There surely must be a cut off to what he is ploughing into the club? It’s a matter of time, if not already, that the tax authorities are sniffing about us, as it has to be concerned with our business model. It’s a simple fact with 3500 supporters coming through our gates, we must be losing bags of cash on a weekly basis. God knows what’s happening!!
  7. Always good to get a balanced, well rounded, honest view of a player on this forum...."dug shite" "dross" ha There's a hell of a lot of top drawer, class act footballing talents with keyboards on here!!
  8. Craigan badly at fault for the 2nd goal!! The years of horror watching him marshall our defence came flooding back this afternoon. Hopefully Keith and his family had a great day, he thoroughly deserved it, fantastic guy and servant to the club.....although I fear he's scarred young Alfie for life!!
  9. I think it's criminal we didn't take a punt on Neymar!!

I'm in the minority here but I think we've got a decent squad and things are moving in the right direction. I've seen sparks of really good football this season and i'm reasonably happy considering the crap that I was watching at this point last season. Such a shame we have such a shit support who would appear to be happy enough to slate the team, manager and club on here but don't go to the games!!
  11. A Win is a Win.....good to get out the rut. Onwards & Upwards!!
  12. Both were good players….that’s about it!! Mcstay had the potential to be better but due to him being too quiet and not confident enough his career stunted and ultimately was a disappointment. Ferguson was overly confident but this didn’t make him any better than good……his brother was a better talent and a young Durrant was better than all of them!! Anyway, this is a Motherwell forum…..none of them could lace Tommy O’Hara’s boots!!

I like Bara, I want to keep him!! love his post match comments when we get beat, standing sweating like a car salesman who's not met his monthly quota.....always expect him to come out with "yeah but I sold that 05 plate Vauxhall Vectra with the dodgy clutch, surely that's a positive"
  15. The Claret and Amber Machine ride again!! COTW
  16. Brilliant......bet his wife's looking forward to a lovely meal and bottle of wine tonight followed by some gentle lovemaking!!! I imagine his dog has already had the sh1t kicked out it!!
  17. Pearson is a massive loss to the team but i'm sure when he eventually does come back he'll still be in and out the team all season due to hamstring/thigh strains etc.....total chocolate footballer. We need someone urgently in the centre mid and so far Taylor does not look the answer!!
  18. Don't worry it'll be fine, Bara will do his imitation of a middle management civil servant and give us a powerpoint presentation post match, tell us where we went wrong and take positives from not taking chances and not completing passes. That's sure to spur the players on to a better performance next week, like it has done over the past 4 weeks.....eh oh wait...mibbees naw.
  19. Motherwell / Kilmarnock / Thistle.............Relegation dogfight!!
  20. my pre season optimism and opening day victory euphoria has now waned and now think we can get beat in every game we play. 1-0 St Johnstone......Big JS the scorer !!

    Jamie Murphy

I think its a given there's a sell on clause.....if not someone should be boxing up their personal effects and leaving immediately!!
  22. We're no the best when we go a goal down.....shite
  23. I think even Lasley would admit he's a limited player and I know I have questioned his ability in the past, particularly the first 6 months of last season. But I have to say I think his performances have really improved under Bara and his fitness has improved no end (as with Hammell, whose the fittest ive ever seen him at the start of the season) I cant see him being dropped as he doesn't deserve to be, I think he's too important to the team.
  24. pretty gutted with the loss today. First 30 mins I thought we looked excellent then it went to pot a bit. I sort of expected a bigger crowd today as well and a bit more of an atmosphere, the bois corner looked half full and no drummer, it didn't half make a difference. I will need to see the 2nd goal again but I thought it was offside, keeper out i'm sure the lad played it forward.....need to see it again tho. disappointed by a few performances - josh law, chalmers (although he's not a left midfielder) marv was too in and out of it. anyway it'll be a long season and I think we'll be fine. positive note: keeper looks exceptional, very impressive performance.
  25. Can't see that being right!! as much as i'm not a fan of Dan I'd prefer seeing him as no2 than that arse Samson!!
