  1. We're no the best when we go a goal down.....shite
  2. I think even Lasley would admit he's a limited player and I know I have questioned his ability in the past, particularly the first 6 months of last season. But I have to say I think his performances have really improved under Bara and his fitness has improved no end (as with Hammell, whose the fittest ive ever seen him at the start of the season) I cant see him being dropped as he doesn't deserve to be, I think he's too important to the team.
  3. pretty gutted with the loss today. First 30 mins I thought we looked excellent then it went to pot a bit. I sort of expected a bigger crowd today as well and a bit more of an atmosphere, the bois corner looked half full and no drummer, it didn't half make a difference. I will need to see the 2nd goal again but I thought it was offside, keeper out i'm sure the lad played it forward.....need to see it again tho. disappointed by a few performances - josh law, chalmers (although he's not a left midfielder) marv was too in and out of it. anyway it'll be a long season and I think we'll be fine. positive note: keeper looks exceptional, very impressive performance.
  4. Can't see that being right!! as much as i'm not a fan of Dan I'd prefer seeing him as no2 than that arse Samson!!
  5. Delighted to get the new keeper. A goalie who looks to have a bit of presence about him and an obvious talent, you don't play for England at U/19 & 20 without it. I know there's a lot of Twardzic lovers out there and I think he's a good guy to have as a reserve, but he inspires no confidence in our defence. Very positive about the season, bring it on!!
  6. He's Never saved a penalty in his professional career!!
  7. I always though Jeffers was a class act. Reminded me a wee bit of when Sasa Curcic played with us and was about 5 steps and thoughts ahead of everyone else on the park. Shame both were a bit batshit mental!!
  8. Things definitely looking up, very hopeful for a good season. Barraclough and his team seem to be doing things right this pre season. I'll be interested to see how our injury list looks in a few months due to this new training regime. Players seem to all be buying into it so things seem good. Delighted to see young Watt playing well again tonight, really hope he gets the nod for right back this year.
  9. Would love to see Watt tie down that right back position this season, think he's an excellent young talent!! Anyone know how Moore played today? I just don't see it with the boy, I really hope i'm proved wrong but he's a bit of a McHugh for me at the moment.
  10. Anyone got an idea if this is a 1 or 2 year kit? Debating spending a fortune on 2 kids strips now ( I will if I know its for 2 years) or waiting til the sale at the start of next year.

I think Motherwell have been good to the guy. Testimonial, Testimonial dinner and as far as i'm aware an open ticket to any match he wants, he's also been part of the ex players club also. I think the club does their best with all the ex players. Clearly the drink, depression and noise from the flute bands he loves so much have knackered his brain. Its a shame but if he's rambling like a madman about getting jobs etc the club should distance themselves from him, maybe that's what's happened and maybe that's why he's bitter.
  12. I'm alarmed he thinks our facilities are exceptional!! Clearly he's never set foot in any of the main stands bogs!!
  13. And it went unfulfilled due to injuries, not anything else, he's always had an excellent attitude and has been disciplined even with the injuries, look at some of the players who've spent months out injured and came back a stone heavier, Mcfaddens never been like that. I don't think Andy Ritchie was ever injured in his life but his attitude stunk, that's why he maintained his 17stone weight throughout his career!! I think he's worth a punt, he's only just turned 32, I don't think we got Cooper until that age and what a difference he made.....I remember plenty of 'Well fans saying Cooper was done when he signed for us.....As long as he's not breaking the bank wages wise, you just never know!!
  14. I think he's watched the play off game and thinks our crowd must be the norm!! Pretty sure Wrexham is a bigger place than Motherwell and their average attendance is between 4-7k. sounds a bit familiar.
  15. Hard to believe any person who is not mentally incapacitated attending a lodge in the 21st century, however, regardless of the sash top I doubt after the demolishing of SEVCO we'll get many "h**s without bus fare" comments this year after our destruction and ridicule of the rancid ones last month!!
  16. Stanley Matthews phoned you Lionel, he wants his shorts back!!
  17. Home and Away socks the same? Quids in!!
  18. One of the worst keepers I've ever seen at Motherwell, he's the only goalie I've ever saw who when on a one to one with a striker, he made himself smaller. He picks up the bronze medal behind John Gardiner and Lee Hollis. Really hope we get a decent keeper signed up soon, Long done enough for me in those play offs to show he has something!!
  19. I recall Andy Roddie performing like Ronaldo that day as well, skinning full backs and firing in good crosses!! Finest 30 minutes of his career!! I also was sick with Sunstroke for a couple of days afterward, those were the days when my moobs were not fully formed and taps aff was acceptable!!
  20. We have a positive manager for a change, one who's not a total shitebag when it comes to cup games or having a go at teams!! Very confident of sitting comfortably in the top 6 this year and a good Scottish cup run.....not arsed about the league cup!!
  21. Excellent news, On his game he's one of the best players in the league, just hope Bara gets the best out him!! Happy with the Chalmers signing as well, I was speaking to someone in the know at Celtic and he was annoyed they let him go, thought he had a big future there. McDonald, Long, Laing and Lyle Taylor next please
  22. Sadly yes, but I still consider that recent history, it doesn't feel that long ago for me!! The 2 teams in the 50s just trip off the tongue for me, my dad did a serious amount of Motherwell brainwashing back in the day!! don't even get me started on the Ancell Babes
  23. League cup final team - Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Shaw, McLeod, Paton, Redpath, Watters, Forrest, Kelly , Watson Aitkenhead Scottish Cup Team - Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Shaw, Cox, Paton, Redpath, Sloan, Humphries, Kelly, Watson Aitkenhead Unbelievably I know this off heart, my old father made me rhyme these teams off as a 6 year old in the 1970s..... Talk about a screwed up childhood!!
  24. I thought it would be a resounding naw!! ha if he can stay fit for a season good luck to him, even if it does mean ripping our defence apart, with whoever it is that takes a punt on him!!
  25. McFadden anybody? I just think he's only 32, i know he'll have at least 1 good season left in him if he can avoid injury and complete a pre-season! (i understand he's not done a full pre-season in 4 years) OK, he was injured last year for a period but i think that was partly down to lack of fitness, but was coming on to a game at the tail end of the season and looking fit until his contract expired!! I'm convinced he's still got it in him, played in the right position (not where Mcall played him) i think he'd do us a right turn!! also.........he wants to play for us!!
