  1. Not sure how likely it is but would be good if we can keep the core of the squad and add to it with some better quality. Not sure who’s on loan but would love to see Gent and Vale here next season. I Also like Halliday and Nicholson. I know we will have Miller and Bair. I think Miller will be a stand out next season. Need to see what we can do to keep Spittal
  2. Back home after dinner dance plus driving so had wee glass of fizz and watched highlights. First of all I have to say I thought it was a pen despite the play acting. Now to us. What a performance from everyone and delighted for Kelly making key saves. The Bair just gets better and better and I said before but not getting KVV been good as we wouldn't have got Vale who looks a great signing albeit on loan. That's 4 away games and 1 home where we did fear the worst but have came away with 7pts. I just hope we can build on this. COYW
  3. Special mention for Vale in the 1st half, Casey overall and Kelly's saves, but Bevis did his job and gets pelters week in week out so deserves some praise today
  4. vale again nothing spectacular just a serious grafter really should be asking the question for next season again, ps special mention to all the defence, but specially mcginn the boy plays antwhere and you get the same 7/8 each week
  5. ah yodo my old arguing friend, so you are warming to SK ? i also thought his tactics were spot on, right subs at the right time, vale is a player leaves feck all on the park he emptys his tank then we get fresh legs, also yung miller was had a good game couple of stray passes but basically always tried a forward pass and put in a shift. also kelly with saves we know he can make but also brainfarts we know he can make , all in all GREAT result, only problem is weve now possibly helped the other arse cheek that stole our point last week
  6. Nice to be in front especially when some of the players are not playing as well as we Might expect. Spittal not playing bad but been caught on the ball a few times. Davor struggling a bit I think. If we can provide better outballs to Vale and Bair we might grab another goal.
  7. They look really vulnerable when we get the ball into the final third. It's important we try to start the second half just like we did the first. Get the ball to Vale as he seldom surrenders possession and can make things happen. On another note, the gers fan going irate on the stream is absolute gold. 😂
  8. Vale has had a great first half. But some questionable refereeing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. what a shift they both put in as well. Vale has a lot to offer, great young player with what looks like a brilliant attitude
  10. Bair and Vale look a pretty decent partnership in the making seem to fit together pretty well hope Kettlewell just runs this from the off from now on.
  11. Hopefully if they press us (as likely) it may give us chances to get Vale and Bair in behind them.
  12. Vale and Blaney in, Nicholson out (Devine too, obviously).
  13. I think it's a go-for-broke type game, where we should focus on our attacking game by starting Bair and Vale to keep the ball up the park because we will likely badly lose if we try to concentrate on our poor defending game.
  14. I'm not sure Nicholson will start in a game like this; we need Davor's bite/covering in the middle against Rangers. Nicholson did well on Wednesday night but I think he'll come off the bench, probably for Vale.
  15. Divine won’t be playing Saturday so i assume below line up like below.? Maybe Nicholson Miller Spittal ?? Kelly McGinn Bevis Casey O’Donnell Gent Miller Davor Spittal Vale Bair
  16. just keep gent and vale for next season on loan, promise blackburn 2 crackin players back ready for there top team the year after, oh n put yung lennon in a cupboard under the stairs till the start of next season or just take his car keys off him
  17. I may have dismissed Bair, which I think was fair at the time because his record before signing for us was mince. However, he’s turned it around and I've since acknowledged that and praised him. His effort was never in question. On Vale, I was actually more positive, and he's lived up to my expectations and more. For example:
  18. Good to see that Vale has followed in the footsteps of Bair in being a signing widely dismissed as being shite before they had kicked a ball for us only to go on and make a valuable contribution to the team. Am I being naive in thinking that maybe people will, while being allowed to be sceptical of signings ("his statistics aren't great"), hold fire on the "he's garbage, why have we signed him" chat this summer? Just a thought...
  19. Far from his biggest fan but had to go for SOD. Thought he was excellent 2nd half. Vale as well but I've voted him the last 2 games!
  20. Probably gonna need at least 3 wins and a draw out of those to have any real chance. The fact we have 3 home games and 2 of them are against direct rivals helps. As always its gonna come down to squad size and what injuries and suspensions we have. Keep out important players (Spittal, Vale, Bair, Miller, Devine, Gent) fit and it gives us a chance. Big ask, but not impossible.
  21. Huge 3 points tonight. Really disappointing start and sloppy goal to lose (again) but I thought we responded well and controlled the game. 72% possession first half tells you we were tge better team. Granted we could have been better with that possession, but when the other team sits in its very difficult for teams like ours to break them down. The changes second half definitely improved us and we scored 3 good goals and ran out deserved winners. For those questioning why we didnt start with that line up, you need to consider the manager knows who is carrying a knock and who can last 90 minutes and makes decisions accordingly. Some of the players were absolutely done after Sunday so no surprise to see a couple on the bench. 3 points of top 6 now with a run of winnable games coming up after Rangers away. Thats a free hit now. Hopefully we will go out and give it a go. Vale and Gent will certainly have a chance of starting having been rested somewhat tonight.
  22. Exactly this for me. Vale's energy and pace disrupted the Livingston lines. Something that we were incapable in the first half when we consistently played sideways and back.
  23. Vale changed the entire dynamic of the game. Thanks to Gent for selling the loan move to him.
  24. Had to give it to Jack Vale. His introduction at HT for me was the change in our fortunes. He’s constantly running and wants to be positive when he gets the ball. Notable mentions for Spittal. Does he score tap ins??
