Good to see that Vale has followed in the footsteps of Bair in being a signing widely dismissed as being shite before they had kicked a ball for us only to go on and make a valuable contribution to the team. Am I being naive in thinking that maybe people will, while being allowed to be sceptical of signings ("his statistics aren't great"), hold fire on the "he's garbage, why have we signed him" chat this summer? Just a thought...

Far from his biggest fan but had to go for SOD. Thought he was excellent 2nd half. Vale as well but I've voted him the last 2 games!

Probably gonna need at least 3 wins and a draw out of those to have any real chance. The fact we have 3 home games and 2 of them are against direct rivals helps. As always its gonna come down to squad size and what injuries and suspensions we have. Keep out important players (Spittal, Vale, Bair, Miller, Devine, Gent) fit and it gives us a chance. Big ask, but not impossible.

Huge 3 points tonight. Really disappointing start and sloppy goal to lose (again) but I thought we responded well and controlled the game. 72% possession first half tells you we were tge better team. Granted we could have been better with that possession, but when the other team sits in its very difficult for teams like ours to break them down. The changes second half definitely improved us and we scored 3 good goals and ran out deserved winners. For those questioning why we didnt start with that line up, you need to consider the manager knows who is carrying a knock and who can last 90 minutes and makes decisions accordingly. Some of the players were absolutely done after Sunday so no surprise to see a couple on the bench. 3 points of top 6 now with a run of winnable games coming up after Rangers away. Thats a free hit now. Hopefully we will go out and give it a go. Vale and Gent will certainly have a chance of starting having been rested somewhat tonight.

Exactly this for me. Vale's energy and pace disrupted the Livingston lines. Something that we were incapable in the first half when we consistently played sideways and back.
-
Vale changed the entire dynamic of the game. Thanks to Gent for selling the loan move to him.
-
Had to give it to Jack Vale. His introduction at HT for me was the change in our fortunes. He’s constantly running and wants to be positive when he gets the ball. Notable mentions for Spittal. Does he score tap ins??
-
No offence to KVV but getting Vale instead of him has been a better move for us
-
Vale reminds a bit of Jamie Murphy, great work rate from the young man, great header
-
Soon as Kettlewell changed it we were a different team Bair and Vale should start every game if fit for me. Bair so much better when in a two.
-
TOP lad again thanks wellfan some set up then header from vale, mustv been carrying a wee knock theres no reason you rest a guy whos in form
-
Must say Vale has had a bigger impact on SPL than KVV so far . proving to be a very decent addition p
-
Lovely work with Bair and Vale
-
Kelly catches a cross ball away from his line and vale adds a third. Brilliant
-
Nice movement and cross for Vale though.
-
Vale 3-1
-
Vale already making a difference
-
Vale playing alongside him this half should change that.
-
I think if he does you know vale not fit
-
Vale on for Zdravkovski.
-
Think it's unfair to have a pop at him, there's a few , e.g Davor Re Vale, think anyone who was at the game on Sunday could see he was struggling..we have made enough chances to be level Sorry for the happy clapping , I will say the defending for the goal was shit
-
For goal O'Donnell gave ball away. Players caught ball watching and gifted goal. Lacking composure and quality in final third. Think Devine Is playing it safe. Maybe on instructions. gent for O'Donnell. Vale for Nicholson who's done nothing.
-
Manager changing the set-up from Sunday will cost us this game. Devine a right-back moved to left-back to accommodate O’Donnell. Dropped Vale for Nicholson. Spittal forced to play wide on the left. No service to Bair.
-
Unless Vale has picked up an Injury, the decision to omit him tonight is scandalous
-
Maybe vale is carrying a knock.
