Our crowds are embarrassing, it doesn't matter which way you splice it. The above mentioned would kill for our current and recent years form as well. So Killie had 3% of their combined Killie/Paisley population at their game and we had 5% of our combined population with Perth at our game. Of course, I'm not stupid enough to believe it's as clear cut as that, but available population does play a part that many tend to overlook. The above mentioned would kill for our current and recent years form as well. there was nearly 1500 st mirren fans at that game which makes a massive difference to the attendance when it comes to the smaller teams playing each other much like our support at firhill.ross county must have had a decent following at there game too so killie and inverness home support would have been less than ours Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

St Johnstone only brought around 300 fans. Killie or St Mirren would surely have had more than that. Doesn’t excuse the poor crowd though and if we had any hope of getting 5,500 in the ground there would have to have been at least 4,500-5,000 Well fans in the ground. texanwellfan Posted January 3, 2014 Report Share Posted January 3, 2014 Here's our runs for this season and the last 5 seasons 13-14 - 4 league wins in a row; 5 league matches undefeated 12-13 - 3 league wins in a row; 8 league matches undefeated 11-12 - 3 league wins in a row; 6 league matches undefeated 10-11 - 2 league wins in a row; 4 league matches undefeated 09-10 - 3 league wins in a row; 12 league matches undefeated 08-09 - 2 league wins in a row; 9 league matches undefeated [EDIT] Actually going back one further season 07-08 - 5 league wins in a row; 6 league matches undefeated. So there is the answer we managed 5 league wins on the trot in 2007/08 which was Mark McGhee's first season. The run was Inverness (a) 3-0, Kilmarnock (a) 1-0, Gretna (h) 3-0, Hearts (a) 2-1 and Aberdeen (h) 3-0. So have you been researching 6 league wins in a row?? We are a poorly supported club, always have been, always will be. That's the sad reality of it I'm afraid. Even when we're performing well, like last season, the mid 90s and after we won the Cup in 91, our crowds have always been poor. We have 'fans' out there who only show up once in a blue moon, for Cup Finals etc but for one reason or another don't attend regularly. Hopefully Saturday will break that record. I'm pretty sure we won 6 in a row when butcher was manager I mind the papers saying 7 would be a record. Maybe a couple were cup games or something.
