Sitting out nearly 25% of a season when you're probably around mid-career, is a strange choice ! It certainly is. I'd have thought a short term contract somewhere would have made more sense from a playing perspective, even if that meant a lower league. He's a good player so either its been an injury or more likely hes still looking for too much money, which hes unlikely to get, especially in Scotland. Spit_It_Out
Aye something isn't right cause he could pick up a club no bother but the fact he isn't on say a 6 month deal to January tells me he hasn't had as much offers as he is letting on. 6 months at maybe a Morton is better than nothing. fizoxy
His thinking may be that being unattached to a team while the window is closed will present opportunities to him if clubs need to add someone due to injury. He also may be looking at countries wirh other transfer window schedules. If he's adamant he wants to play abroad, then fair play to him for sticking to his guns. Spiderpig
2 goals for Devante Cole for port Vale in the FA Cup today, that's the kind of striker we need right now.
mio
After seeing highlights of Halliday sitting on a couch with Paul slane commentating and celebrating all things Rangers, I now realise why he’s not had many minutes this season. I get the Rangers fan stuff etc but he’s still our player and we’ve just had a horrific result yesterday….. read the room man!!!

I take your point but to be fair to Halliday hes knows hes not getting a game and that his days at Fir park and as a player are numbered, so why not explore other opportunities. I do get what you mean, and as much as I dislike the old firm I am not a shout at the clouds type of guy when I watch him do this or not celebrate against Rangers last season. It is what it is and we know he’s a blue nose. Having just spent a fortune though on Saturday getting to the match and having sat through a horrendous game and what should have been a winnable semi final to then see one of our better paid players jumping up and down celebrating a rangers penalty on the other semi final was a bit of a hard one to take…. Not that I watched it all I have to say so his behaviour may have got better or worse? as I say, it probably annoyed me more than it should have as I’m sure he’s on his way out the door anyway. Stuwell2
At our game on Saturday he was standing warming up when they scored their first goal and he stood and remonstrated with the linesman saying what looked like the ball was moving at the free kick, thought he was going to be booked because he wouldn’t let it go despite the linesman gesturing to him to move away. Might be a h*n but he was as pissed off as any of us.

It's a big step up - even bigger with no pre-season and adjusting to a new country as a teenager.

His style doesn't fit into way Askou wants us playing but i still feel he has a role to play

The Netherlands does have an extradition treaty with the UK, if they felt the need. Does seem rather unlikely, though
Toxteth O'Grady
Not a former player, but definitely worth mentioning: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cn4j8dgk8ego Quote And, as a former Hamilton Academical player, Imrie was stunned by the show of support from derby rivals Motherwell. "The Motherwell fans at Hearts the week after was amazing," he adds. "The battles myself and Motherwell have had, that goes to the side and you see the true fans. "That's part and parcel of football, rivalries come together and it's tit-for-tat but that blew me away. It blew my family away, it blew Lauren away. "I will always be thankful to the fans for doing that. They didn't have to do that, but it showed a touch of class from them."

Mad Dog
Must've missed this last month but very surprised to see that Aaron Taylor-Sinclair is now caretaker manager at Airdrie - currently leading them (with supersub Jake Hastie) to a win over Partick Thistle. Edit: Drama! 1-1!
