weeyin
Poor St Mirren might never earn that right to play football now.
The African
Could just be a brilliant piece of chicanery from Aberdeen, to unsettle and disrupt a rival prior to the relegation battle getting serious. Of course, given the way they have recruited in the past, I may be guilty of reading way to much into this. If Stephen Robinson is the best that they can come up with than good luck to them. They are going to need it.

wellup83 Posted yesterday at 11:30 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:30 AM Easy pickings for Burrows. I'll wish Robbo well just the same (except against us) . He's earned an opportunity at a bigger job imo.
joewarkfanclub Posted yesterday at 12:45 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:45 PM Pleased for Robbo. He deserves the chance to show what he can do with bigger resources. I wish him well, but not too well!
stv Posted yesterday at 12:56 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:56 PM He's going to give Dons an identity ? Aye kick the opposition off the park. They have form for doing this with opposition managers. They must have been getting really scared of possible relegation. Couldn’t care less about Aberdeen and St Midden deserve it. Spit_It_Out Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM Don't know if it was reported at the time but Sondre Solholm Johansen has now retired due to an ACL injury now has a gig working for Adidas. Liked Sol always thought he was decent for us think he would do well in our current set up. I wish him all the best.

I hope their Director of Football at least borrowed Burrow's phone and made the call. Otherwise he does even less than I thought.

Seen a lot more better centre halves than him

bobbybingo
Billy Campbell has died, aged 81. Was he assistant manager to Willie McLean or Bobby Watson?

thewelllfan
Bit late on the Robinson front but hope that is the nail in the coffin for St Mirren and they end up going down would be good for them to get stuck in the championship for a few seasons so I don't need to see their fanbase crying on Twitter every other week, Wouldn't mind any of the 4 teams in the Play-off race up. Probably would rather it be Arbroath as I'd be confident of no matter who we lose that we'd finish above them.

grumpy
Craig Brown was the reserve team coach I think. I don't remember Billy Campbell as an assistant manager but he stayed in the Knowetop area and used to drink at the Cricket Club in Dalziel Estate,. A nice guy and always happy to chat about the 'Well, I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

That was my recollection too. According to Wankipedia....Brown quickly showed a keen interest in being involved in the coaching side of football and he became assistant manager of Motherwell in 1974.[9] He got his first managerial job as part-time manager of Clyde in 1977, where he spent ten seasons

This is sad news. Did he not have a great game against a very strong Tottenham Hotspur when we beat them at Fir Park in the Texaco Cup? What a night that was (3/11/70)! My very 1st game at Fir park that night, took me 20 mins to work my way to the front of the old terracing where the cooper stand is now, before i could see anything.
