A very enjoyable game that evaded the dead rubber end of season event you sometimes get. Delighted for KVV and happy we got to see Johnson one last time.

Well done to SK for a great turnaround. Best of the rest is some achievement considering where we were.

Well, that was hugely satisfying in the end.

If KvV does move on this summer then best of luck to him. He’s been superb for us this season and it’s been a pleasure having him here.

Likewise Max Johnston, a top young talent who will do well in the game.

And finally it’s brilliant to see Dundee United relegated and for us to beat them in the process. Delightful stuff.

#Down, Down!

Dundee United are Down, Down!

Dundee United are Down, Down!#

Get it right up them and their media chums.

United were hardly all guns blazing, but they had plenty of chances to get themselves into a decent lead. When we started to turn the screw in the last 20 minutes, the result looked inevitable, as we were lining up to shoot and they were spent.

Mugabi definitely kept the game interesting, and Blaney had to be dragged back into reality a few times too. Fair play to McGinn for keeping it together, he was excellent. Furlong was brilliant as well, hopefully we can get him again.

Spittal had another good game, and he doesn't get the plaudits he deserves because of the form KVV has been on.

Was good to see Miller start, he had some jitters but played some tidy stuff and competed well.

KVV really rueing that penalty he gave to Moult. It's absolutely mental that most of us are sitting here disappointed that our striker could only get the 29 goals.

KVV's pen are, to be polite, erratic. A decent chance he'd have missed it.

Like all good strikers he's missed his fair share of opportunities because he gets into the right positions more often than most. He'd be just as well worrying about the first half header he missed.

His goal tally is impressive, but scoring in 11 consecutive is something even more impressive.

A nice comeback to finish the season on a high and hopefully build a springboard going into next season

Our form the last 14 games has seen us finish as high as we could, so that is an achievement

Another goal from KvV who was wrongly (in my opinion) overlooked for an individual award for his remarkable season. 11 successive games in which he scored is a fantastic achievement

Another contribution for Spittal to add to his impressive numbers of goals / assists likewise for Johnston

How we finished the game is the line up that should have started.

It shows you how poor our defence is without Casey and Butcher. Mugabi is a bomb scare.

I would say Obiki is a much much better player than Mandron but would give neither a contract for next season.

I honestly do not see what SK sees in Mandron?.

Spittal should be offered an extension, everything good came through him today and has been outstanding for SK.

It was an entertaining game and hopefully Kettlewell can draw some lessons from it for next season. KVV getting the award as a send off was a nice touch but Liam Kelly was motm by a mile and kept us in it. Our inability to play with any tempo when we are in the lead is pathetic, there was so much more effort from the team when we went behind than at 1-0 or 1-1. The mentality is shocking.

SOD showed why he can't be the starting right wing back next season, he's a very expensive squad man. Mugabi has to go. Blaney is actually worse than Lamie. Mandron and Obika are dross and Aitchison offered nothing again so we are probably looking for 4 new forwards which means next season is a complete lottery.

Max Johnson came on for 20 minutes and showed the two dicks playing with Van Veen how you finish in the box. Lennon Miller had some great tackles and passes and really grew into the game, Slattery came on and barely got the ball under control. Bringing through youth has to be the number 1 priority for the club.

You would like to think we should be able to get McGinn signed up ok but it would be a huge boost to get Casey and Furlong as well. Goss is worth keeping as well.

Once we got our act together after untd"s 2nd goal the result was never in doubt, we battered them, just a couple of observations,  Mugabi is a feckin bomb scare and Mandron is utter pish, 2 free headers he had from a yard and then 18 inches out and fecked both of them up I hope he gets punted over the summer.

Max Johnston contributed more in 25 minutes than O'Donnell has in 2 seasons.  We absolutely would not have got anything out this match if the changed hadn't been made.  Which begs the question why has he not been starting?  If he had a knock or something fine but as a player and as a team it's different levels with Johnston.

It wasn't Ben Heneghan at Firhill levels but Mugabi had an absolute mare.  Defensively we definitely missed Casey/Butcher.

Just to highlight what some others have said Blair Spittal is a very under rated player.  Last time I looked he was the only non OF player in the Top 10 assists this season and 6 goals from midfield isn't too shabby either.

Three good goals too.  Excellent end to the season.  Fingers crossed we can keep important players like Goss, Johnston, McGinn and Casey.

I think with Spittal for whatever reason, some made their mind up the day he signed that he was rubbish and use any dip in performance or a simple bad pass to try and strengthen that view, simply ignoring or saying nothing when he's stepped up, scored or assisted. It's been a strange hill to choose to die on

His passing and shooting is generally dreadful. He gave Miller a hospital pass in the first half when there was zero pressure on him which sums up a lot of his play.

He's a relegation battle player.

That's just not true, he put two absolutely superb crosses into the box today, one for Mugabi and then 5 seconds later one of the best first time half volley crosses I've ever seen.

AND he scored a 20 yard rasper today!

You just don't like the guy.

I see your still talking shite about one of the best players we've had since Hammell was punted, fair play fill yer boots, it gives you another player to be obsessed about if you ever get bored with SOD

Yet his passing stats are better than McKinstry who you were bemoaning the fact had been 'blackballed'

& his 6 goals and 7 assists shows how well he's performed and what a shrewd signing he's been for a relegation battle player
