Watching this for the first time on youtube, VAR in Scotland is embarrassing; the first was a red every day of the week, the actual red was a total joke wasn't even a yellow.

I didnt think the first one was a definite red. He does catch him on the ankle once the ball is away. But by the same token Fadingers v Rangers wasnt a whole lot worse, so some consistency would be nice.

Slatterys though is embarassing. He may well have got a finger in the face (its impossible to tell from the poor camera footage) but it certainly wasnt enough contact to justify the reaction.

Glad Jens gave him a talking to at the end.

I cant underdstand all this faux outrage at Slattery last night, if the match officials / Var team had been in any way competent the Red card would have been overturned and Slattery booked for simulation, diving, cheating  etc but as the officials are all useless fuds he wasnt, so why blame the player, if it had happend at 0-0 to say win us a penalty and the game would we care, no chance we would.

The officials had two major decisions to make last night and they made a James Hunt of both of them, Gogic was a red all day long and Kingstons wasnt even a yellow never mind a red.

Its not faux outrage.

I dont like to see our players try to con referees.

Id rather win without all that shit.

If you want to take a different position feel free, but dont try and call me out on it.

This contrasts with the mealy-mouthed fudging by modern-day pundits who prefer to refer to honest refereeing  mistakes/influence of larger and more vocal OF crowds on referees/ lack of experience on the part of match officials, obviously oblivious of the JRP Gordon/Craig Thomson MBE Effect through the ages.

Nostalgic  to see the hoop with the wee numbers above it, and (controversial, I pure ken) white shorts 🤣😱🤣.
