Plus, St Midden will be set up to frustrate us. If we are going gung ho then with our defence we can expect the paisley mob to try pick us off.

They will definitely try, but what will be interesting is to see if we have added new layers (as SK used to say) to the existing approach.

Agree, this two weeks should be about working out how to break down a defensive system. StM & Killie with both set up to defend where as Aberdeen and Hearts will be playing a more attacking game.

I see us possibly getting 6 points max over the 4 games, 2 wins or 1 win and 3 draws but if our tactics are correct - and the team are able to implement them - then we could potentially take all 12 points.

A big concern for us should be the potential for Robbo to set St Mirren up to kick lumps out of us and cause some bad injuries. We need to be be smart going into this game.

I believe the technical term for kicking lumps out of opponents is "They're not that kind of player".

After seeing how we set up & executed the last two games, im actually excited for going to Fir Park. I cant say iv had that feeling much over the last few seasons - despite being an ST holder & going along each week, it was more out of habit/duty.

Long may the excitement continue

Likewise added to the fact I detest St Mirren with a passion I am looking forward to it. Going to Fir park under SK was a chore more than anything.

Did Robinson ever manage to "earn the right to play football"?

I'm glad Wimmer looks to be in the "lets play our game straight from the kick off" camp and lets the opposition deal with that instead.

Another two week break after this match so players can leave it all out on the pitch. MW has had them for two weeks to get his methods across some more. Would be big for us if we can take 3 points from this game to maintain our top six spot. MW them has another two weeks to work with most of the players before the Aberdeen game. I generally don’t like the start stop toming that goes on during the season but this time it may be to our advantage, giving the manager more practice time and allowing more recovery time for our injured players.

I’d imagine that during these two week breaks the players - especially those with family down south - will get a few days off but that could be to our benefit if they come back in a good frame of mind, refreshed and ready to get playing again.

Seeing all the clips this week from training show you how close knit this squad is and also they seem to be buying into Michael's style and demands.  Be great to see a big crowd and a great atmosphere.

There has been a great feelgood factor past few weeks since Michael and Ahmet came in and great results.

Of course, followed by no doubt with

1) wimmer a flash in the pan

2) Halliday is rotten

3) nick daws is clueless

4) relegation play off a certainty

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I probably won't go - had to get my cat pts this morning. She was 19 and it wasn't totally unexpected but she just went downhill so fast at the end. I'll give my ticket to one of my brothers pals

I'll dedicate the win to her

Sorry to hear that x

Since we already moved the clocks forward last week over here, i’ll be seeing everything an hour before y’all but I won’t say anything on here, so you can enjoy the game.

😂

Only 2 weeks until the rest of the world are approximately 95 years ahead again

Genuine excitement for this today.  Will we play a better practiced way of the way we played Dundee and The h**s ? Will a couple of extra weeks with the players change the approach or line up dramatically ? Will Dan Casey score a hat trick (or give away another daft one) ? Will we rip them to shreds and score 5 ? Will we be gash, get pumped and start a Wimmer Out thread ? Are we on the verge of becoming 80's Aberdeen and conquering Europe ? The possibilities are endless 🙂

Ox on the bench. Armstrong injured apparently.

“We can provide the following update on our injured players.

Luke Armstrong caught his pony tail in the door and ruptured his Achilles in the process and will be out for several months.

Speedy recovery Luke”

Someone suggested Mawhanise is being rested due to the international game and travel.

That’s absolutely scandalous if that’s true. He’s our player, we are paying his wages and if we’re resting him for his international sides benefit then it’s a joke.
