Dont remember him at St Johnstone so no idea if he will be any good or not.

If we are using analytics to identify targets this season you have to trust he is the type of player we need.

We will find out soon enough.

Hopefully he's a better player and character than his dad...can't help your relatives tbf.

A better player than his dad ????? That would be nice ……..over 600 appearances mainly at a very good level -English and Scottish Primer league winner + Scottish cup/league cup, captained Scotland at a World Cup 50 odd caps earning his first cap when he was 27 ……….unfortunately his life seemed to spiral out of control when his wife (  Callum’s mum) died when she was 43….shame TBF

I'm assuming at 5ft 9 (and a half) he's the type of player that needs the ball to feet.

Had a look at his highlights reel and most of his goals are into feet. The odd header but few and far between. Scores a few different types of goals which is good although most with his right foot.

Hadnt realised he had scored 2 against us at McDairmid a couple years back.

Not sure he offers anything different from Stama. Maybe we are gonna accept the money from the Norwegian team?

Lots of St Johnstone fans in the other place, being very complimentary of Hendry. All saying we have a good striker on our hands. Should come with the health warning that these are the same guys that thought Bair was shite......

We've already turned the offer for Stam down.

It feels like anyone we sign who ever played for St Johnstone has scored against us at McDiarmid Park.

Hopefully he won't be the new Simon Mensing

I feel sorry for them and their fans who are football people just like us, it's a generalisation to say what you have about their support,  unless you've talked to them all...which tbf wouldn't take that long.

Generalisation for you, an informed opinion from extensive experience from a few levels inside and outside the clubs.

i’d wager I’m not the only one who’d say same.

Back to ins and outs.

What offer was this? Bit of a stretch enquiring about player availability and transfer fees.

They apparently offered us 800k for Stam last month and we said no because the offer didn't meet our valuation

I know, but they might come back with an improved one before the window closes......

The newspapers (I know!) did report an offer of £800k from a Norwegian club that was turned down.

I accept that the report could be a lot of shite, but hardly something to pull someone up about.....

Yeah maybe but do you think they will given that he's struggling a bit at the moment?

I dont think he is struggling.

This is the longest he has stayed fit for us, so Im kinda hoping he will get better as time goes on.

In no hurry to chase him out the door as I think we will need options until Sule, Robinson, Nicholson and Stuparevic all get fit (although, I fully expect some of them wont play for us again).

Yeah I get that too. I'll be happy to see him stay
