I actually stopped going to away games last season because of all the shit happening and I didn't see anything yesterday that would make me want to change my mind. We have some right cretins in our support and I'm more and more starting to see why Bob Park gave up the ghost and walked.

Boab walked?

Who would make the decision as to what is over the top. A minimum wage steward employed by the club we are visiting ,a policeman, a fellow fan ?Β

Who is going to go into the crowd and do the chucking out ?

Are the ejected fans pals who don’t agree with the decision to chuck him out going to stand by quietly and let it happen.

Finally with the reintroduction of beer and vodka into grounds imminent i think those in charge of security will have more to worry about than this.Β

Lets face it as being totally unrealistic, unworkable and a daft idea.

I agree with you mostly. But - when you take a job on as a steward you are expected to deal with certain issues - particularly if you are badged.Β

If a fight breaks out you are expected to deal with it. That's made clear to you during training and when you take the job.Β

Stewards aren't on min wage any more with most companies. I was when I worked with securigroup but thankfully wages are better nowΒ

I saw someone being chucked out last season at Fir Park for abusing a Motherwell player and then wanting to fight other fans.Β

I completely get it - part of the reason I gave it up was because I was too near to getting my face smashed in - never at Fir Park - at Celtic Park and the Ethiad.Β

There are security supervisors who get paid more to deal with this stuff. I would personally say police need to step in in these kind of situations.Β

You can read so you see the posts I've made re physical and verbal abuse of stewards , so uou don't need to ask the question.Β

I never noticed any specifics that were posted, I was also more interested in the over the top abuse SOD got. As I was trying to think what was said that could be so horrific.

You must have been at opposite side of stand from me where we had the pleasure of an older guy calling him a useless c**t,Β  embarrassing.Β

I don't do away games because I can't be bothered with the antics of some elements and sadly yesterday just proved why I won't be going to another away game.Β  Maybe I am just getting old but it took away a lot of the enjoyment from yesterday.Β  Β No doubt though the media team will perceive it differently.Β  Β Again that's just my opinionΒ

COYW

I still had a view of those Well Bois and their ball til one steward got it to f*k 🀣

That was all good natured of course , a laugh in the sun you could say. It did get me thinking why pay money to not watch the gameΒ

On another note , I walked in yesterday without one person checking my ticket 🀣🀣🀣

Thats what I heard from a usually reliable scource although I think his SM posts said he was looking for pastures anew or a fresh challenge (something like that)Β so maybe there was something else going on behind the scenes, who knows.

Genuine question,Β  are you meant to wade in if flares are let off? Because this could be near enough every week...if ever there was a day to not light one, it was yesterday .

Β

He wasn't the scource, I was standing next to him talking when I saw the drum incident with my own eyes as did a few others, but hey its ancient history and theres more interesting things to talk about.

Im not sure why you are mentioning my Facebook comments on here tbh. It's got nothing to do with this forum. Yeah I know what the initial comment was.Β

I also responded later to say that I wasn't expecting miracles - btw the person who posted that initial comment is a die hard Motherwell fan who was at the game today and was probably feeling a bit frustrated - surely that's allowed?

I personally think if we did play crap - a manager should have the right to express it. I don't think it's necessarily throwing players under the bus - lots of fans who were at the game thought we were rotten today. I would personally rather a manager came out and said that than glossed over it.Β

Reverting back to this point.Β

Firstly on FB - it has been pointed out on many on occasion on this forum how we revert to comments on FB and Twitter. I do think it's relevant to point this out.Β

Second of all, I have pointed out that despite the posters frustrations why the manager cannot state the same rhetoric. Are you saying that he should have said we were pish yesterday? Are you therefore saying similarly that anyone that says "SOD was pish and should never wear the jersey again" has the same just cause - because he was frustrated?

I'm not hear to cause a fight with you - in fact lots of your opinions I've backed - but similarly and I hope you see this in good light, I think it's fair to say I disagree with the initial poster.

What amazed me more on Saturday was the amount of enormous fuckers in our support and I'm talking American sizes. Was there a Well Society sponsored weight gain competitionΒ  during close season?Β  Some of them could have provided much needed shade to the poor buggers in the kiosk Que wie their belly over hang. Some of those sights would put you off going for life.Β

On behalf of the Motherwell FC Morbidly Obese Supporters Club, i resent that remark.
