I’m pretty sure I said WTF at least 3 times and swore again in relief and delight at our football and that we didn’t gift a goal to Rangers. I may have to watch a replay of the game to better appreciate some our play as I was too busy having heart attacks at the time to fully appreciate it. All I heard around me was "Oh Fuck, for fuck sake, Aw NO !! get it to fuck, Great play Motherwell" 🤣
Richie
Yeah, when the ball from gk/defence manages to get to the midfielder who has dropped deep and they turn and then run/pass through the press it completely opens the pitch up. Watt did it a few times, little margin for error and heart in mouth, but tremendous when it comes off.
weeyin
It gives me heart attacks when I watch teams I don't even support do it. Hopefully I'll get used to it.
Richie
Rangers were somewhat accommodating that as they were pressing high though. May be a bit more frustrating with teams intent on sitting and shitfesting.

I'm confident that JBA will sign some new faces to rectify these weaknesses. A great crowd today of 10,616. It would have added to the atmosphere and our coffers. I couldn't make the game today due to family circumstances but it seems to have been an encouraging performance and we earned a creditable point. Things are looking bright. A little bit of trouble in the POD Stand unfortunatley, from what I'm hearing.

MFCL84
Wow, just wow! What a great advert for Scottish football. Motherwell were outstanding today. Yeah, there were a few nervy moments at the back. Who cares? If we are going to be served a feast of football like that at Fir Park this season, I'll sufer a few cock-ups at the back. The energy in that team today was exceptional. Some of the football was superb. The number of times that we caught Rangers in the press was quite astonishing. A little bit of added quality up top and some extra depth ro the squad and this could be some season. I wanted the team to make a statement with this performance and they exceeded my hopes. Well done JBA, the staff and all the players. That was a terrific watch.
twistandshout1983
Brilliant to hear Russell Martin after the game claiming they were lucky to get the draw 👏 Didn't think I would ever hear any manager of the 2 Glasgow mobs say that . If only we had scored that chance late on

grizzlyg
Just home from pub and buzzing after that performance. I will break down my assessment 1) we have moaned about style for years, we have a new manager trying new style which isn’t good for health but give him time. Brave and 2nd half we were great. 2) Stama - i am still backing him , there is a player there in my opinion 3) goal conceded, mcginn howler but we move on. 4) fullbacks, both excellent and going to be huge players. 5) centre defence - we need at least 2 in. 6) midfield- the triplets were great , slattery set pieces though were brutal. 7) it's miles better than hoofball so let's enjoy the JB revolution COYW
Welly Machine
Thought the first half was pretty even, really disappointing to concede a corner from our goal kick and then give them a free header to go one down. Better team in the second and anything less than a draw would have been robbery. Hopeful things will click more the more the players get used to how the manager wants us to play. Definitely need additions. Hopeful Ap Stam just needs to get sharper. Just seems to do fine but things don't go his way in the final third, although he did well on his assist for the equaliser. 0Neils40yarder
1st time I've been able to get to Fir Park in a while, and even longer since I've been able to watch a game from the East Stand. Atmosphere was superb, and nearly as good as the effort from our players...at times we were a joy to watch, and if our decision-making and/or our final ball had been better we'd have cuffed those weegie minks. I've a feeling it's going to be an entertaining season. P.s. Slattery was the best midfielder on show today
Suprawell
I'm really impressed by Jens, he doesn't do word salad like the vampire or Robbo pish we had to suffer. His scandi vibe is refreshing and the ideas coming through are warming to the eye. Loving watching goal against the toilet drinkers over and over tonight. How Manny just lounges in box, then thinks, better get up and leather this...love you big man!!

Andy H
One of the Beeb mob had us as the surprise package this season. I have a feeling they are right. When this system clicks properly and the strikers start finding the net, someone is getting an utter scudding from us

He has been very complimentary of Motherwell's new approach and the new manager. Great result today and a really good performance. I am really excited for the season ahead. joewarkfanclub
Only saw the highlights, but that looked like a very encouraging performance. McGinn makes a bit of a howler for their goal, but that will happen the way we are set up to play and we should still defend the corner better. A few other heart in the mouth moments, but watching this style of football is going to be great fun, regardless of the results. Night and day compared to the eyebleeding Alexander and Kettlewell era's and just goes to show we can have a go and play football agaianst decent teams. Buckle up. Im all in......
weeyin
Imagine how well we could have played if we weren't a team that always bottles it on live TV, in front of a big crowd, on a big occasion.
