I would have been much more confident if we didn't have the ridiculous injury list, but I am still hopeful for at least 1 point and wouldn't be surprised if we take all 3. This is our marker for the league title 😁😜

wellfan
If JBA turns us into a stable, top-six possession side by the end of the season, he’ll inevitably be poached. That doesn’t mean game over though. It means we’ve built that identity, and the job is simply to bring in another manager to continue it. I trust the new Chairman to do exactly that. The trajectory is now set regardless of who’s in charge. The aim obviously isn’t winning the league every year. It’s stability, entertaining football, European qualification, and a decent cup run or two.

The Well Society & New Board deserve a lot of credit getting us to where we are so quickly. We now have an identity as a club and as a team. We are financially secure for the short to medium term. The fanbase is fully engaged. The trick now is to maintain that and use it as a platform for continuous improvement. Mistakes will be made along the way, but as long as we get more right than we get wrong then there is no reason to believe that we arent entering a period of (relative) success.

I would imagine, if sustained, the first significant upturn in attendances in 20 years will also reinforce that fans want entertained. The die hards like myself will turn up every week no mater the shite on show but fans who pick n choose need more than blind loyalty to part with £25 every second week.

robsterwood
I'm hoping if good work continues we can hopefully extend jba contract given extra funds we may get. In crowds and merchandise and cup runs. Possible League position if higher. In addition. I think he did say it's a longer term project and may want to see it through to take him to next level. He will also get time here if mistakes made and would look better on his CV if here for a few years as other jobs have been more brief. I’m just waiting for Anti-wells next interview where he claims that our success is built on him laying the foundations, building the team, creating the perfect conditions for how our style of football is what he was moving towards, how Wimmer & Askou have only used his ideas and that if he hadn’t been forced out by us ungrateful gits we’d have won the first five games and been top of the league, stick on for the title and would have qualified for the champions league group stages next season.
