However, having taken the opportunity to delve deeply into my soul, I have come to the only logical and reasonable conclusion that only a win for us will do. It is not for any personal hope that I may revel in the glory of my team's success, or any misguided idea that their victory will make me, in any way, a better person. I am saying this because I honestly think that this Motherwell side winning the league will be a universally good thing. I believe that us winning the league will be a win for the good guys. The little guys who play by the rules and play the game the way it should be played. As such, I can claim with all honesty, sincerity and altruistically that a win for Motherwell is a win for football, a win for Scotland, and, in these dark and troubled days, a win for the whole of mankind. But if we win tomorrow we are only 8 off the top. If we then win our next league game then we are only 2 behind rangers Hearts are missing Shankland and Devlin for a few games and might struggle over the next few games. Any team is capable of dropping points against almost any other team in the run in. Whilst winning the league may just be a bridge too far, a Skippy Sunday scenario isn't beyond the realms of possibility. If we can win tonight and next wed, then 2nd/3rd is in the mix. grizzlyg Posted 2 hours ago Report Share Posted 2 hours ago Not tempting fate ahead of tonight but in last 12 league games we have kept 10 clean sheets and only lost 1 goal at ibrox at easter road. To keep that form going will be a tough ask especially if we stsrt getting injuries. However be great to win tonight and set us up for a massive 2 games in cup and league next wed.
