It's not about whether there was an attempted hand hit or not, Slattery's were embarrassing, unnecessary and took some attention away from an excellent footballing performance.

There was no excuse for it, and JBA obviously felt the same.

On a different note, out of curiosity, I checked Man City's stats yesterday (as they are obviously a team that likes to play possession football).

They made 466 passes in their home win, with 84.1% accuracy and 31 touches inside the opposition box.

We made 703 passes with 92.3% accuracy and 51 touches inside the oppostion box.

Obviously not like for like, but an interesting comparison all the same.

It was meant to be 9mins added right enough? Not that I doubt the integrity of the officials.

There was a 2 minute var check in injury time that somehow ended with Rangers not getting a penalty.
