I looked this up yesterday because Im kinda sad and wonder about these things, but Hanvar is Faroese for Port or Harbour. Boltfelag means football club. So HB Torshaven are actually Port Torshaven FC.

Your welcome!

😍😍😍

I had hoped to see another midfielder added before tonight as we certainly had enough warning of the likelihood of Slattery, Watt and Just leaving, but thats life.

Putting the lack of striking power aside for now, as that’s arguably been our hardest position to fill for a while, I agree entirely with your point about the midfield. I’d go as far as saying it’s a complete failure not to have had someone lined up and already in the building to replace at least one of those players. And don’t tell me that’s Willy Vogt. He’s more likely a Maswanhise replacement, but he looks pretty poor regardless.

I actually think we are likely to be better in the away leg as we will have an extra weeks fitness under our belt and might have more players to choose from.

More players will need to be players back from injury which I'm not sure is likely. To be eligible to play in the second leg, a player needed to be registered by last night..

I was hoping Manny, Eythor, JT & Cookie might all be fit for the second leg. Maybe even Johnny K.

My guess is that we'll see one or two of these players featuring tonight at some stage.

It feels like we’re at the stage where it wouldn’t even be a surprise if Matty took his gloves off and played outfield.

He could probably do a job at right back, to be fair.

Apparently Paulsen started life as an outfield player.....

In terms of fit first team players are we saying:

Paulsen

Connelly

Sparrow

Moorman

Girdwood-Reich

Williams

Wilson

Priestman

Fadinger

Whyte

Ross

Said

Vogt

With injuries to:

Mcginn

Odonnell

Longelo

JK

Mcghee

Cook

Eythor

Stama

Hendry

The more I look at that the more concerned I get about tonight! 😞

Tonight should be seen as being a big game for us and not simply as being a bonus or Euro jolly as it has been in the past. We should be trying to move on as a club. Its a rare chance to raise the club's profile; bring in extra cash through prize money and gates; and sustain the momentum from last season with the support. Its a chance to move up a level and we should treat it as such.

With games like this, we just need to hope we have enough at this early stage to get us across the line. We're always going to be up against it playing such an important tie this early, but it is what it is. We know how it works.

Hopefully we have the quality to overcome what will absolutely be a gulf in match fitness and sharpness.

Excellent words,  this is exactly my thoughts too

We most definetly need to be treating these games as a chance to raise the profile of Motherwell Football Club to an even higher level

I can genuinely only guess half the starting XI

Paulsen

Sparrow Girdwood-Reich? Moormann Williams?

Preistman Fadinger Whyte?

Ross Hunter? Said

If RCC is fit he'll be in over Hunter.

Is that your guess or is that what Ross Hunter said? 🤣🤣

Did someone (weeyin?)  mention that the game was on live from some streaming service?
if so, can they post the details here again?

thanks!
edit: since I’m retired I had time to scroll back thru posts and found this from Wee yin

It's being broadcast by SolidSport apparently.

Not familiar with which countries they operate in, or if that means it might also be on MotherwellTV, but it might help locate a stream.

https://solidsport.com/motherwellfc/games/g/b3deb2au

EDIT: I just created an account on there, and it says I can purchase the game for 12 quid. But no hint to any geo-restrictions.

No we just literally do not have a fit striker, he's scored the other night and Vogt looked like he needed a lot more time to get up to speed if RCC is fit he's going to play same with Maswanhise. Bjorgolffson hasn't played in pre-season so he's not going to start that basically leaves it between. (RCC who will play there if fit, Hunter who while being thrown in at the deep end could get through the first 60 mins and leave us with more ready made options to change it from the bench or Vogt who based of his showing against Genk could do with more time to get up to speed) We chuck youth players in when you least expect it regularly so tonight may be another one of those nights

Seems like it’s MFC team that generate the feed and use solid sport to stream it.
