COYW Or rather don't do that exactly but inflict the Motherwell Vice on them, like we did so often last season on many clubs. If we have possession and maintain the initiative, then we are at a huge advantage. As always at Ibrox, a lot depends on the standard of refereeing........ SteelmaninOZ
Yeah not just the team we play there but the Ref and VAR never mind the toxic fans 🧐
joewarkfanclub
Looking forward to this one. It feels like we have banished the curse of Ibrox, and this Rangers team dont scare anyone. If Alfred gets the team selection right and we are organised and handle them at set pieces, we can get a positive result here. Fernandez is so indisciplined positionally, Im pretty sure we can lay traps and get him to step out into areas he shouldnt and hurt them from there. We have threats all over the park and a strong bench now to change it if we need to. Id still take a draw, but Id love to get another win there and keep us in the top 3 of the table. MJC
Ah it’s the ‘Hands across the M74’ derby. Love it. I watched Rangers game against Aberdeen on Sunday and it was very much a typical McInnes type performance and win, ie. pretty dull but effective in the end. They’ve had a shaky start but you can see Del starting to put his mark on that team and Shankland is back on the goal trail which will always carry a major threat as he is a lethal striker at this level. From our point of view we need to take confidence in last night and our recent very good record at Ibrox where I always feel far more confident of winning than I do when we play them at Fir Park. That said though I don’t see us getting anything on Saturday. 2-1 home win and plenty of bubbling and dribbling about the referee on here afterwards.

texanwellfan
A 10 day gap after this till we play Aberdeen at home so we can leave it all on the field with plenty time to recover and look forward to seeing us against the sheep at Fir Park after some practise on the field with AJ. Willie Hunter
Sorry he's on Var which is probably even more dangerous to us nowadays.
weeyin
Guess who the ref was when we beat them 3 - 2 last time? Clue, it rhymes with Nevin Fancy. I get all the concerns about refs, Rangers VAR etc., but one positive of the style we play now is that we give refs less chance to penalise us. Moorman and Knight-Lebel didn't have to make a single tackle last night, for example. Of course, they can still stuff us by chalking off goals and VAR handballs - just not as often. That is a remarkable statistic which shows the importance of possession instead of coughing up the ball after a few passes/punts forward. I was disappointed to hear Peter Martin say on PLZ's football show that no-one in Scotland plays the way the rest of the continent do, when it was pretty obvious that's how JBA had got us playing from just about day one of last season. Surprised he said that given how much he drooled over our sexy football last season.

Exactly my thoughts at the time. Although they're not my favourite team, St Mirren under McLeish seem to be trying to reverse the Robinson hoofball tactics too.
