CraigieBoy!
Great to be talkin about signings again after Mutley's antics last season. Exciting times. The sun this morning says we signed Ryan Scanlon from Ross County yesterday as well as big Yass, i thought that was just speculation but then again, it was the sun. I think someone mentioned he was born in 1992! Only 17, played for Aberdeen and Celtic. One for the future me thinks.
postiejim
CARDIFF City and Dagenham and Redbridge have joined the race to sign Hucknall Town defender Adrian Hawes. The central defender played in a trial game at Motherwell last week. "I think Adrian will end up going somewhere and we will get a fee for him," said Yellows boss Bryan Chambers. "It would be best for us if he did move to Motherwell because they would sign him in January and he could continue playing for us in the meantime." Frazzie
We can't have a Giles and an Adrian in the same team. We just can't.
Burn_Broomfield
"I won't feel bad" If we don't get him, cos he's had a trial "If we don't know him by now" JG must not be that impressed. Saying thay, as "Money's too tight to mention" hopefully he'll do "The right thing" and this lad could be one of the "Stars" of our team.

Ya Bezzer!
Never heard of him. Might be wrong but I don't remember the name coming up last season and he certainly hasn't played this season. If he has signed its obviously for the youth team because he as far as I know he hasn't been near a first team set up.
another number
Couple of folk discussing this on ins and outs, apparently he's only 17 so prob will be signing for youth?

Jonesy
TBF Reynolds seems pretty level headed and has said in the past that he is happy to stay here to keep playing every week to help him improve and develop. He can only answer the questions he's asked.

daver
I know it's McGhee-bashing season but he has an interview on the BBC website lamenting a lack of funds where he makes some very interesting points. From a Motherwell point of view he mentions that we are paying Lukas Jutkiewicz more than they are paying anyone up there. Makes you wonder how much we are paying for a player with potential but who is relatively unknown. If people are able to take off the blinkers, he does speak very well and honestly but also complains so much about the lack of cash you wonder why he went there in the first place! Neil
How would he know what we are paying He's a total bullshit merchant.

cmack
How would he know what we are paying He's a total bullshit merchant. I imagine the only reason he'd know is if as McGhee said previously, he too tried to sign him. At that point, i'm sure Everton would have told Aberdeen how much he would cost in terms of his wages. Therefore he's probably making the assumption that we'll be paying the exact same figure that they were allegedly quoted at the time. Just a thought though! daver
With much of the transfer activity being pushed by agents it wouldn't surprise me if everybody knows how much a certain club or player is looking for. He may even have been offered to Aberdeen or perhaps Boyle told him during dinner on saturday to rub his nose in us spending more cash than he could! Haggischomper
Whose to say what we are paying Lukas is what Aberdeen would have been paying. If Aberdeen were in for him 4 weeks ago perhaps at that stage Everton were looking to have x% of his wages paid for but by the time we hooked up with him they had dropped it to y%. Steve Diggle
The problem with McGhee's teams is McGhee's wages first and foremost. Our wage budget for last year went on a wage hike for him n his bitch plus other abbhorations like Bob Malcolm's wage etc. In hindsight for the sake of the club and an impending calamity worse than administration he had to go. It wasn't clear at the time but it's clear as mud now. In clearing the wage bill of alleged high earners like McGhee, Leitch, Malcolm, Hughes, Klimpl Quinn and receiving compensation for McGhee, Leitch, Clarky and Quinn, We've cleared the decks and Gannon has a blank slate and a new pitch. A wage bill and transfer budget to spend as he sees fit topped up no doubt as always with a few extra coffers from JB on top. Who gives a flying fuck what MMcG thinks and whether he know what we're paying our signings or not. He's gone to a club who are crippled by the compensation they've had to pay to Motherwell FC, Jimmy Calderwood, Jimmy Nicholl and Sandy Clark as well as the wages that him and lapdug command (funnily enough I've heard that those wages are not as good as they were at the ark either) Fuck Aberdeen! bigmcd
the problem with mark mcghee is that he is pure and utter jealously with him as aberdeen have no money and we do maybe he wishes he didnt move and i dont see us paying over the odds for players not after a few years ago
